Tell me if you invested so much on producing for PPC on this, that you wouldn't go to AInc and want to call it an Amiga, and not license a port of OS4. You'd be adding value and brand name recognition.
AHT Europe wanted to do exactly that, but Amiga, Inc. wouldn't agree to a license deal. Sorry I don't have the link handy, but the information was straight from one of the AHT Europe co-owners.

AHT have decided upon AROS due to Amiga Inc refusing a license for OS4.

Too bad it did not happen. I am sure it would have taken some time before it was all "done" but at least it is a start. Another piece of hardware that runs OS4. If you get another one more might follow. Ah well what a shame.

This is _NOT_ correct, at least it's an extremely simplified version. The truth looks different, so please don't spread misinformation
