Our heritage is present on the met@box. The box comes with an Amiga emulator and free Amiga ROMs pre-installed so you can use all the available Amiga's software on your TV.

That's interesting in that when everyone was talking about porting to PS3, users had to install the emulator themselves, since it was not an approved or licensed part of the product.

Looks as if this is included as well as licensed, which is a difference.

@thread

A historical overview of the company for those interested, since the connection between the names of Amiga past have already been drawn in the related threads:

First mention I can locate (November, 2004)

senex and Hyperion comments relevant (March, 2005)

more while discussing re-unification (May, 2006)

further discussion during the lawsuit (August, 2007)

for those who prefer a different source (early 2010)

There are many more links and retellings of the story. Hope history buffs find this of some interest and others can now relate to the Amiga connection expressed.

So it's a generic Chinese Android box (a poorly specd one, at that) with a pre-installed Amiga emulator?

Wonder how much they're going to try and charge for this thing?

Information concerning cost and distribution is yet to come.

I'll post it when I receive it.

Interesting but I doubt Amiga compatibility interests people that much.

Return of a legend that never delivered at least not the products the Amiga community was interested in.

Between this and 'Amiqube', there seems to be a few new 'Amiga' hardware products coming to market at the moment.

Good luck to them!
