@OlafS25

Yeah, but still, for that price and miniITX

When/if AOS4 supports multiple cores I perhaps need this puppy too

Besides the X5000/040

...and Sam440

@OlafS25

Sure not a Power8 device or i7 killer, but probably with a better price/performance ratio than X5000, let alone X1000.
Probably T104x based which has the e5500 core. Lacks Altivec unfortunately.
All in all (as long a no SMP is used) probaly on par with a fast G4. With the G4 faster on vectorized computations and the T104x faster on throughput based things.
But a bog step from the Sam460 level and hence a good thing.

edit:
Just read about using a P102x which is e500 based. e500V2 to be precise - which is this fpu incompatible thingie. Ouch!!

Maybe is for this:

http://swatkats.info/entries/tabor-2/

A character from a animation serie of the 90's that was cancelled
Is a minor character
Is a warrior
Is very loyal to their queen
they are cats

Sounds very "Amigaish" to me (But it could be just me. is it?)

ok then

Problem is that in real world was a island reported once and than never was found again:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maria_Theresa_Reef

And with the bad track record of Amiga curses...put a name like this to a motherboard could give bad luck

ok, ok!! it's late and I need sleep

If it's P1022 based, it will bring software incompatibility - code will need to be recompiled because of the FPU difference.
I hope it's e5500 based, otherwise I don't see a point, frankly...

@WolfToTheMoon

I don't think any code will become unusable. The kernel will simply trap to a different set of functions for that FPU (as it used to do with the 68060).

@tonyw

So compared to a Pegasos2 it is:
- 10 years later
- 2x the price

And will only be on par in performance when neither Altivec nor the FPU are used or if Altivec is still not used and code compiled specially for it's FPU is provided.

I do like the form factor, but with these numbers I just don't see the point.
