@fairlanefastback

There really is no doubt that a cheap computer running a new Amiga-branded OS will attract a lot more new users than a cheap computer running an unknown OS. I have watched the comments on the high profile computer/software related sites in Norway after the recent anouncements, and there seem to be a real interest out there, not only passionate memories and general fondness for the Amiga, but readiness to commit and spend money on the new stuff. I'm sure this is not unique to Norway.

The price has to be right, but if it is (the ACK lowend machine?), theres a big nostalgia market to tap into. And there will always be people wanting to check out alternative solutions (other than Windows/Linux/Mac) and I think the Amiga brand will help make the OS contender for the top spots in that particular "segment". I think the brand is the key ingredient if the OS is to reach enough users to make commercial/shareware projects potentially profitable again. My opinion.
