Those interests would be Hyperion paying Amiga Inc, Do you buy a car pay 90% and then say:
- Well sir with time this money I gave you pay itself out?
Unless there is a prior agreement that the money goes into escrow the entire time and merchandise did not change hands, you bet there is interest coming back after a given time period (Tig says 90 days for WA, which sounds about right). Four years? Oh, there is going to be ALOT of interest payments piled up.
Years ago I won a court case against my former business partner. Under FL law, 10% APR piled up for five years till I got my money back.
Too bad the bank interest here in MA for the last 4 years has been around .5%... I wonder what it is in Washington especially as Florida's law is the only one I know of that defines such a thing...and was probably passed during a different economic period.
