Seems like a very mixed-up analogy to me. They argue that Android is particularly innovative, but I'd say the iPhone (like the Amiga) really upped the ante on what a smartphone can do (if you ignore multitasking ). That'd make Android more similar to the commodity PCs with better graphics and sound that started to grab market-share from the Amiga in the early 90s.
