The german government has payed 1500 Million Euro for the development of the Transrapid and if Siemens want any more money and state founded projects, Siemens better be nice - that's one point of view and the other is that the (partly hidden and sadly stained/corrupted but hopefully improving) elite can arrange anything (the old you do this and we do that game).

Only my point of view and maybe too optimistic but I think that Germany (and the EU) may soon get better and obviously one logic step is to dump MS and Intel for some own better things (still to be developed). This may be the great chance of AmigaOS - if AmigaOS can (with lots of money and soon) be better than Linux.
