| @QuBe :) I dont like the look of that timber as it is either. I know that log is ugly, but I just made that image in a few minutes and that was the first log I found in google.
Its just to make a point that the logo should reflect the name timber as well as the wolf. But a think a well drawn log could look quite good with the right colors. Or maybe the texture of a wooden log could be used as the globe background. |

That "secret service" is really funny.. well obviously it was related to the hair, because he lacks everything else...

If we could use the wolf drawing (or an gfx artist could make one as exact as possible but without being the same), then put the world globe below and use Amiga letters for the name.i do not know if i explain correctly.catch the idea? |
I've already tried to modify that logo, but it's a JPG image and it looked weird at the end.. let me know if you found the same (original) image in PNG ;)

The logo in #90 posted by zErec was the first I've seen that actually had both some wood and wolf combined. |
damn, now i understand the Nick logo better.. i thought "TimberWolf" was just meaning a North Pole's Wolf, but translating "timber" to my mother language i just found it translates as for "wood"

I totally agree. I saw it and my first impression was wow, that looks amazing and the 2nd thought was i'm glad it didn't have the boing ball stamp, not because I have anything against it but because I think it would have ruined it.
You're right on with your comment. Not everything has to have the booing ball just because it is an AMIGA program. _________________ It's not the question that's the problem, it's the problem that's the question. |

So the wolf hugging the boing ball is good, just need to make the boing ball out of wood with the grain evident as a texture... |
A wooden boing ball? I didn't know that the project was called "TimberWoodenBoingBallWolf" _________________ Maintainer of www.bigbookofamigahardware.com |

hey man this one is great! nice idea to have the map as boing's delimiter, it looks much more clear than overlaying. It may could have looked better if you would remove the two white squares around Africa but it's quite ok.

Well, I think that ones brilliant.
I know the boing ball doesn't suit everyone's taste, but to be in line with other "firefox" logos, the central portion is circular, as in a world etc, and the only round "Amiga" image is the boingball.
The 3d effect of the boingball and the globe is really good, and matching the eye colour in this version tops it off. _________________ Peter Swallow. A1XEG3-800 [IBM 750FX PowerPC], running OS4.1FE, using ac97 onboard sound.

Ok, no worries; like the idea of a wood texture; just how to make the best use of it :)
