Varthall said he might show off my new AHX based tracker for OS4 at Codex Alpe Adria. Just wondered if anyone was at 0xAA and saw it...

@elwood

Its not publically available yet... but.... maybe i'll let you in on the betatesting Remember, though, its based on AHX, so its a chiptune tracker, not something like a Renoise clone.

@xeron

Very few I'm afraid The room where the meeting was held was a bit tight, and I haven't seen many people taking a peek at my A1. I was running Hively on Saturday morning together with a beta of Milkytracker, at least a friend of mine (Delsig) who sat beside me has seen it and liked its interface, saying that it must have required quite a lot of work.
I have tried Hively the night before, too, composing some simple tunes and trying out the multitrack feature. There were some other PC scene guys with their computers, but they were too much focused on their work to notice what I was doing ^^. Gotta try now the latest beta and start making my first HVL tune!

Thanks again for this nice piece of software, hope to see it released soon.

@Varthall

Why the hell didn't you tell me? That would have been a small, nice presentation! You just had to tell Michele or myself you had such a nice app and we would have set it all up on the bigscreen!

Ok, this will be next year's first conference! ;)
We need scene-related tools! :D

@xeron

That looks pretty neat. I played around with THX/AHX, but never composed anything using it. It was however ideal for recreating some of the classic SIDs from the C64, which Pink/Abyss put it to good use for.

Thanks for the kind words.. its based on AHX, and can import/export AHX modules as well as AHX instruments, but it has the following extras:

* Multichannel (up to 16 channels) with manual gain control
* Two commands per note
* Per-channel panning
* Instruments can have ring modulation

The tracker itself is more full-featured and has more editing features than AHX.
