| Hello
Anyone got the latest version of AmiGIFT working under OS4 Final? Here, it keeps hoging the CPU at 100% and nothing happens (I have of course tuned all settings as recommended) and my only option is to reboot signce AmiGIFT is then freezed. _________________ PowerMac G5 2,7Ghz - 2GB - Radeon 9650 - MorphOS 3.14 AmigaONE X1000, 2GB, Sapphire Radeon HD 7700 FPGA Replay + DB 68060 at 85Mhz |

| @SZAMAN For AOS4 Nearly there. I have the lamps finally but no results to searches. Will keep tinkering.
@all BTW Look at the progdir /Libs and remove all corresponding in sys/libs copy all libs to sys/libs and make them compatible in prefs.
Try from there.

Sorry link does not appear to work. But here is the google translation
Quote:
I got Amigift2 under OS4 to run: -) What did I make?
Everything libs of Amigift in Sys: libs copies
Everything libs, as well as giftMui and giftd registered into the Compatibility Preferences. Erstmal only nearly rack used (I will still test the other one).
With activates from the nearly rack network the Prefs of Amigift, with stores on disk confirmed. With request to start again broken off, because otherwise those went to the Daemon CCU load on 100% and one had resetten. Amigift start, the changes again are taken over.
Something one waits with nearly TRACKs is connected, can something last to. One is group must one the following consider (was at least with me like that) To search word during input in the search border and click on search led with me to 100% CCU load. I made then the search over the SWITCH panel. Here consider which one before however with the network not "all" leaves selected, but only nearly rack to select.
So far it folds with me, not necessarily very stably, now and then comes the Reaper, then a RESET must ago. But it functions: -) Hope the errors can be still eliminated. |
Can anyone correct this to make it a bit clearer. Thanks._________________ Peter Swallow. A1XEG3-800 [IBM 750FX PowerPC], running OS4.1FE, using ac97 onboard sound.

As I dont't speak German ( ), I do not understand what to do. When I put everything in the compatibilty list, I get a DSI error while loading giftd whether I put it in the compatibily list or not. I then click on Ignore DSI errors and try to search for a title and then it freezes. _________________ PowerMac G5 2,7Ghz - 2GB - Radeon 9650 - MorphOS 3.14 AmigaONE X1000, 2GB, Sapphire Radeon HD 7700 FPGA Replay + DB 68060 at 85Mhz |

At last ive just got it working on OS4 tonight!!!
Basically i did as other people have said by adding the librarys to libs: and also to the compatibility list as well as giftMui and giftd. Then set up the settings, I started with adding fast track and pressing save to disk, then the daemon I altered the paths in the download and sharing tabs, and in the protocols tab selected fast track. then save to disk and started the daemon. (I also checked my routers settings and opened the relevent ports as stated in the readme) At this point it took a few secs but the lamps lit yellow, then in a little more time the lamps became green and I was able to use, although it isnt very stable. _________________ A1XE G4 800mhz,512mb,Radeon9200,SonyDRU-510A and 800a,ESI Juli@, Sil680, WiFi. |

| Thanks a lot to all os4 users for your tests and feedback.
at the end it works on more machines I even thought (considering i'm doing what I can do from my A1200 machine, with nearly Zero knowlement about os4 itself..)
but at least that are good news meaning later or sonner we'll get it properly working

No secret except I don't know how to post files here without reference to a website. There are several conf files to load. Not saying they will work for everyone but I have AG working with a couple of networks including GNUTELLA (the largest).

Very, very nice. Obviously you are using MUI4 and you seem to have great connectivity. Things are certainly looking up in the Amiga world. Hopefully the next version will work well on AOS4 too.
