One os4betatester told me it worked on his system. He got lights ;) Its just black lights on my os4final. So either something weird on my system or the os4beta is better emulating 68k.

So people please test this prerelease, specially my os4final friends. I just want to hear how it works. Dont forget to read the info on the website, the first requester when running etc. Best thing would be starting with only OpenFT protocol and if it works move on to the rest.

For the rest enjoy. Diego has put alot of energy on this release.

Does anyone know where to get vapor_toolkit.library 1512. Only 1511 and 1513 seem to be availbe via the vapor site.

It runs, you just need to delete earlier amigift's libraries from AmiKit:Libs/ directory and reboot.

I get Error socket closed,disconnected from daemon unable to startup the gift core "sigh".


Any ideas?

delete all the old Amigift related libraries from SYS:Libs/

SYS:Libs/amigift.library

SYS:Libs/gift.library

SYS:Libs/giftmeta.library

SYS:Libs/giftproto.library

If you have installed the previous Amigift 2.0 pre release, delete ENVARC:MUI/giFTMui.prefs

Run giFTMui and from the menu, Settings>Save ALL to disk

You have set in the Compatibility Preferences, both gifTMui and giftd

right?

EDIT- did you have some Amigift libraries in SYS:Libs ot is this the first time you try Amigift?

right. No Assign to Amigift because the requirements libs now in Sys:Libs/

not 100% sure but when i start Amigift only with the libs in progdir, Grim Reaper comes up.

i have no Amigift Assign...

powerpc.library lets crash OS4 final. Remove (or rename) it and AmiGift starts.

Kicko (and we as betatesters) is already aware of this AFAIK. (we have worned him)

Amazing ... I read through this whole thread, and I even followed the link to the website and read that page, and I looked at the screen shot, and I *still* don't have any idea what an "AmiGift" is. Well, maybe something about moving some files over some network connections or something. I think ...

Please, is it too much to expect just one lousy sentence in such release announcements that tell what the program actually does?
