Dear Amigans,

I just realised, as I went to buy a couple of gifts for some fellow friends of mine ths christmas, were it not possible for other amigans to do the same? So I had a look at a small list of current or some ex current developers for Amiga. And this is what I cooked up, if any of you have other links, feel free to add them.

How many amigans do you think there are that would consider a gift of ths nature for fellow amigans they know?

http://www.digitaluniverse.org.uk/ = Digital universe, astronomy

http://www.insane-software.de/web/eindex.php?page=ajrtg = amijeweled (developers still in development of new software)

http://www.amiga-shop.net/product_info.php?cPath=29_53&products_id=255 = alinearis 2

http://www.grasshopperllc.com/ = Pagestream 5

http://dvplayer.amigarevolution.com/ = to buy full version of the dvd player

http://www.airsoftsoftwair.com/ = Hollywood 4 and more

http://www.bohthegame.com/order_form.html = This years released Amiga Game, also for other platforms.

http://www.apc-tcp.de/supporte.php = they have produced various titles, im sure they may consider producing more

http://glames.online.fr/ = word me up xxl (also developing new products for amiga in future im sure)

http://www.imaginefa.com/ = imagine 6 (still in development)

http://www.novadesign.com/2008/10/imagefx-45-studio-for-amiga.html = Image FX 5.4 (people who buy this for OS4, will need to download the patch, located at our webpage, joint effort) www.blitterwolf.com or os4depot

http://www.pagan-games.com/ = Earth 2140 (not sure if this company is still in development mode, been quiet for too long)

http://www.apex-designs.net/ = payback, os4 people require the patch, and to skip intro sequence for game to work

http://www.rune-soft.com/shop_e/morphos_shop/morphos_shop.html = MorphOS users can buy 4 different games here

Hope you all have a wonderful christmas, and that your happy behind the thught of a gift, not how large or expensive it may have been.

Cheers

Well, my favorite wolf, I don't know that suggest you, but if your friends also are miners; only I might suggest one song "Soy Minero. I'm miner" from Antonio Molina one ancient spanish singer that singing this song for the hard miners, and about Amiga humm, first you ask them that software type like them, because maybe they like the PS3 or Wii games.

@Gebrochen

I already made myself some presents from your list ...

But what I did NOT know was the fact that Imagine is still alive! As I still play around with V4 to get it working on my SAM there might be a path to a newer version now...

@Templario

LOL - great avatar! (I can her that metallic cluttering HOHOHO ...)

Is there actually any proof that it's still in development? IMHO seems a bit unlikly.

@ChrisH

Apparently its still iun development, I bought the ACUP = amiga constant upgrade program, I am now at version 5.17.

Its meant to be a program to allow users to constantly download any updates when they occur.

Not sure though how long Im meant to wait to update from 5.17 to a later version though?

Cheers

@cha05e90

haha, interesting.

Careful though with Imagine, it works on my sam to a certain point, but I was dissappointed to find out that the rendering output window does not always work.

Not the preview render, that works, but the actual output seems to have a mind of its own. Maybe it is in my settings, not sure. Ive been using Cinema4d though mostly myself, but I should try and resolve the Imagine output window problem to constantly
work.

As for the rest of the list, Im pretty sure they all work.

Again, for Image FX4.5, download the patch from our website or os4depot.

May you consider that I am not a sheep, and so try not to hang out with sheep, but rather a unique bunch of people.

Hi,

perhaps you should add http://www.whdload.de/reg.html to the list.

It is by far the best addition to any Classic gaming or demo setup....

I personally prefer Eagles. But each to their own.

Tell me something, have you considered placing an angel on top of that christmas hat? Itd look mad.

Cheers

5.17 has been released nearly ten years ago. The latest version seems to be 5.19, released in June 2006 - and unfortunately, it's been the only Imagine update in the last eight or so years. (at least if their website is accurate).

Hi,
I currently don't have any link for the software, but would suggest to download the latest software for free by googling the google site.

@Gebrochen

Everyone's unique, and to me restricting yourself to a certain type of person makes a person as much a sheep as anyone else who follows trends. Only difference is the trend thats followed.

(being that this is a forum and tone and infliction are missing I should probably point out that this post was in no way serious and intended as being whimsical)

@fishy_fis

Im not following a trend though. I never do, I wear what I want to wear. I Drive what I want to drive. Generally 1st gen celica, twin cams for the last 13 years, up until recently getting my first modern car, a Toyota MKIV supra, trend you say? ha, over here in Australia not many 1st gen celicas, supras or amigas in comparison to windows or holdens, or even skylines.

It is a shame you dont know me, because if you did, you would most likely not hang out with me due to my thinking being so black and white generally, as well as my bluntness.
(And I am trying not to be blunt right now towards you)

Again, dont make false accusations on someone based on what is written in text, text cannot give you someones character clearly, or personality, when you speak to someone Live, and they are in front of you, then it is easier to make such a judge ments.

Cheers

Have a nice christmas

P.S. I hang around windows, mac, linux people often, as most of my friends use this, I only have 3 proper amiga friends, one of whom doesnt even own an amiga anymore, the rest are simply club members, again, my HINT before, dont JUDGE unless you actually have met someone in person.

This could have been a severely different message on here, but thankfully I kept my cool and realized how the hell would you know how I am, how I live, How I eat, What I eat, What I do, when I do it? YOU DON'T.

And I DON'T know you my friend, only from threads and the like, and I try not to judge peoples true character via a thread.

@ Moderators :

Hope this writing above still complies with the rules and regulations, was just trying to explain to someone who may like to troll? once and a while, and I took the bait, and still am, I can get like that sometimes when somebody is making WRONG statements.
