Problems here, all the fonts are screwed up. Unreadable. Going to reboot see if it fixes it, otherwise will post screenshot.
Anyone having problems? _________________

Font corruption:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/61283734@N03/6102431407/
Downloaded MuiOwb from the Jack App-Store to my downloads folder, double-clicked Download_Fonts, waited, then double-clicked OWBLauncher. Went to amigaworld.net as you can see from the screenshot the fonts are screwed up:
I also got a shell open in the background:
Fontconfig error: line 27: not well-formed (invalid token) Fontconfig error: Cannot load default config file
So basically atm MUI-OWB is unusable (to me).
EDIT: I re-downloaded MUI-OWB again and ran it from this new drawer which re-initialised the fonts. Still the same, all text corrupted on every page.
----
SUGGESTION: I also have one for your suggestion list: Perhaps there is an option already in the preferences, but when the user only has ONE tab open it should not be visible on screen.
BUG: Cannot seem to open local .html files from double-clicking on Workbench window, eg. if I double-click muiowb_bugs_and_suggestions.html it just opens about :/homepage.

| Hi,
Good work guys, I'm using it since an hour and really like it.
Now if I could import my bookmard from OWBaddressbook it will be great, or maybe I can use OWBadressbook?
Thank again to all that make this possible,
Bye!

| Brilliant - love it so far.
I think at long last it is time for IBrowse to go into retirement.

Since you had a pretty big bounch of old MUI stuff on your machine, maybe you also have a lot of old, incompatible or else just corrupted fonts on your machine as well? _________________ - Don't get fooled by my avatar, I'm not like that (anymore, mostly... maybe only sometimes) > Amiga Classic and OS4 developer for OnyxSoft. |

| So far so good, the download manager is definately a welcome addition, now I can see when my download has finished instead of having to watch the file size on the hard drive.

| It works nice and better than expected. (A couple of crashes where the other was a null memory pointer.)
Thanks kas1e, Tboeckel (Thore) and all others involved for porting, MUI development and testing !
I guess even IBrowse fans might switch now.

| Working great here! Good work guys, FINALLY a download manager!!!
I can now stop using IBrowse for every download :)

OWB original now deleted, this is much much faster. :)

| Downloaded and installed. One word: Awesome! As strange as it may sound, this is an IB killer, or alternative, IB on steroids, when it comes to features, while rendering faster and smoother webpages than OWB Reactio. By FAR the best browser for OS4.x currently. IMHO this piece of software along, makes a strong point for upgrading asap to U3. Many thanks to all involved!

That wasn't me. I wouldn't know where to start looking for corrupt fonts. Besides I thought I understood that Mui-Owb doesn't use system fonts it uses Webcore ones which I installed via the Download_Fonts script. _________________

Well, you might want to check what fonts you already have in the two following dirs (these are the ones used for the OS4 fontconfig port for this OWB release, it seems) : fonts:_TrueType/ fonts:_ttf/
You can also just edit Conf/font/fonts.conf and edit the previous paths if you want to isolate WebCore fonts from the others.
Ideally, you should only have WebCore fonts (the one downloaded by the Download Font script) to avoid any kind of weird rendering issue. Last edited by Fab on 01-Sep-2011 at 02:15 PM. Last edited by Fab on 01-Sep-2011 at 02:07 PM.

While I have your font config error, MUIOWB ran OOTB for me, without installing any extra fonts. I think I might have installed at least some of them before though. _________________ Common sense - So rare it's almost like a super power |

| @kas1e: congrats! @djrikki, zerohero: how about temorarily renaming or removing font drawer, if muiowb uses system fonts? Last edited by wawa on 01-Sep-2011 at 02:14 PM.
