It seems that a decade is passed since the last x1000 and X information was releases (remember when the riddles was fun?). I know the amigans: they're just like me. Please, feed up with cute amiga news!!!

Ain't we a tease?

@HammerD

Unless you have insider information, you should be part of the teaser

@AmigaBlitter

That's old news, nothing left to talk about until they're allowed to actually tell us anything about it.

@HammerD

So looking at it logically.. Because you won't tell anything, you know something!
Otherwise you would have told us something..

Maybe they are waiting to announce the new X1000 details next week so they steal away Apple's thunder when they announce their iPad. hehehe

@MacSociety

Not sure they wants to steel attention from Apple. They have for sure our attention. I bet that all amigans in this days are stucked at monitors pressing F5.

There are no real news, but based on possibilities I could invent some news that would make Amigans happy:

The XMOS chip in the AmigaONE X1000 will be used as ultra fast copper if someone makes an adapter board form the GFX cars to the XORRO bus.

The XMOS chip will be used as floppy adapter for Amiga formated floppies if Jens Schoenfeld brings us the right XORO adapter

Only 178 Days left until the AmigaONE X1000 will be available.

AmigaONE. Haha. Just because you can put label on it does not make it Amiga.

Yeah, as if

When is the Apple Developers Conference - I love proper hardware unveilings You know the ones with proper physical working machines at the point of announcement ! Apple are the new Commodore without the "computers for the masses" mentality or the shoddy marketing! I can rationalise their business model by understanding that their higher branding costs are used to fund a well oiled marketing machine whereas Commodore's low costs kept them from bothering with 'Superbowl' scale marketing! The X1000 manufacturers have spilled the beans without any solid product to unveil and therefore all this positive interest is wasted and no doubt it will have died down by the time the machine is here!

IN YOUR DREAMS PAL!...the announcement of a new fast Amiga with a new fast AmigaOS is FANTASTIC!!! - Nothing is wasted...they're not Apple with billions to play with.

I'm going in for the Amiga X1000 quicker than you can say "imafreakwhowouldlovetoseeamigafail"

It's just the good ole carrot dangling game that we are already used to from the past. They probably feared that too many people would give up or at least switch to MorphOS/Mac Mini without a "high-end" Amiga at least far on the horizon.

Hum, no.

I don't think such a beast can be ready for sale before the end of this year, so I don't hold my breath.

Why buy Mac when you want Amiga? However, MorphOS on PowerBook G4 would be nice.

If it becomes available on my iBook G4, I'll snap up MorphOS and turn blue over night

@AmigaBlitter

I heard rumours it was going to be available by this winter, at around my birthday in MAY. Ofcourse May is only Winter time for Australians (well, close enough to winter).

BUT

These were only rumours thus far.

Cheers

P.S. Hahahahahhaha

P.S.S. You should have heard what the other guy said.
