Well admins how about it? Waiting to read an update every three months from Alan in TAM is torturous .

PS: Not asking for a regular q & a like we have with Fleecy, just a one off would be interesting (at least for now )

Cheers

OK, I had an interview planned with Alan Redhouse anyway.

So feel free to ask your questions here and the staff will later try to select some of the best ones and maybe add some of our own.

I can't give you an exact date yet with regard to the publishment of the interview/Q&A as Alan is very busy at the moment. But the questions will be sent as soon as possible after we compiled the list.

Ok, here goes.

With the Aone lite being announced for 1st Qtr 2004, what are the chances of an Aone Laptop??

I already have the A1G3-XE, but I think a laptop option would be an added bonus.

Second question.

Are G4 upgrades available for the A1G3-XE machines.
Is there still a heat issue with the G4`s runing much hotter than the G3`s, and will this affect the availablity of G4 upgrade processor boards?.

Q1.

There is a post, elsewhere about the possibility of producing dual 1.3G G4 boards for the XE if 200 potential purchasers can be found.

Is this vapourware (no, is it real, not will it overheat!) and will it run in single processor mode until the right operating system comes along?

Q2.

There still seem to be questions about reliable operation of DMA with the Via Northbridge. Is this finally sorted with UBoot, yet, or is there more work to do?

Q3.

When can I buy my A2 XE-G5?

Roy Leith

When'll it be possible to buy a 1,3 GHz G4 module?

Which version of the G4'll be used for these modules(7455, 7470)?

What about a dual 1,3 GHz G4 module?

And finally, what do you estimate that these cpu modules'll cost?

Allright, here's one:

In the last Total Amiga there was some information about the dual 1.3GHz CPU module being planned, and I must admit that it sounded a bit too expensive for me. How about making a cheaper module with a single 1.3GHz processor?

Here is another one (two),

Alan: Are you satisfied with the amount SE's and XE's
sold so far and is there a market for these outside the
Amiga Community?

De groetjes, Dirk.

With the release of the A1-light aproaching, are there plans to uppdate the A1 (new northbridge?, more features?) so that sales cannibalization is kept to a minimum by further differentiating of the two products?

When will we see a DDR-RAM cabable and AGP 3.0 compliant northbridge in use amongst your product line?

Do you feel that once Mai inroduces there PPC 970 capable northbridges, that theese represent a clear enough product differentiation and "market opener" opportunety from the current lineup to justify a new product? Or do you feel that such a product would not take you into new market terretories, and that it would only create sales loss amongst the current lineup?

Would you mind telling us that price, please?

Hello
1. Is there any plan / schedule for G5?
2. Is there any plan to do Initial Public Offering
or selling shares to public?
3. Can Eyetech G5 products compete with Apple G5
or Pegasos 3? (price/performance)
Thank you.

What results do you think could be yielded from the trip to China you recently embarked upon? Do you think that you will be able to make any further inroads in the greater South/South East Asia Region?
