To me, AROS, A/Box, and any other API clones are as legal as projects like MOL. The companies that own the IP don't like it but it still happens.

Whether it is legal or not is not really important. What is important is whether we, the consumers, consider it morally right or not. Cast your vote with your cash today. That's the only way they (either side) will listen.

Yes, the "amiganess" argument is stupidity of the highest order. It reminds me of the USA in the 1960s, with that paranoid nut McCarthy accusing people of being "un-American" (whatever that means).

I suppose it was inevitable. Now that both the Pegasos and AmigaOne are on sale, the usual FUD doesn't work any more (since people can try both machines), and so ppl have got to come up with intangibles like "amiganess" as a quality you can use to prove you're better than the other guy.

Sheesh. Why can't people just grow up and get a life...
