Hi All

My Name is Steve Jones and some may or may not remember me as the face behind a couple of Amiga companies, Checkmate Digital ltd, HiQ and Siamese System ltd the last two which were basically the same but a name change.

I spent 10 years promoting the Amiga as a serious platform and tried to get the PCI Amiga card off the ground but failed. But please don't hold that against me.

My Love of the Amiga is undiminished but I use it rarely except to play with my much loved A1000 that I have had for 20 years, which makes me a hypocrit that must pay bills.

My ideal scenario is that AROS developers and Hyperion can get together. Cheap hardware and an OS that people can love again. Oh, and Bill from Amiga inc. hands the Amiga brand over to someone that can do it justice, as if that will happen. I failed to rejuvinate the Amiga with Gateway and the PCI 060 card but I tried, politics.

Steve welcome back! I had not realized you were involved with Checkmate Digital (A1500). I purchased many HiSoft products back in the day - IBrowse, Cinema 4D, Siamese System etc. etc. to name a few, or am I confused between HiQ and HiSoft? Unfortunately I can't help you with you with a PAL DCTV.

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for Hyperion and the future of Amiga OS.

Thanks be be with us and share your ideas and experiences about old amiga history and new amiga with Acube and Hyperion

Don't know if possible but I think most here will be interested if you would like to explain some of the old history with you and the amiga (shity commodore, Gateway strange company with amiga, enough amiga customers with your company,...)

Maybe you have earing some strange story with gateway, amino, ainc, after the falling of commodore company ???


BTW, there are allways some amiga users available and some of them use amiga 4.0 or 4.1 with First NG machine or new SAM440 amiga computer and program development for the amiga continue and thanks to all developpers for this.

Maybe you have contact and know some companies for helping the amiga development ??? (don't know if you are allways in software company development world).
