Hey Gang,

Will Amiga CD32 Games play natively on an AmigaOne 500 with OS 4.1? Thanks.

Ed

no, but OS4 has something called RunInUAE which start cd32,whdload,adf's etc when you click on them in Workbench.

@edponpon

Setting up and using RunInUAE on 4.1 is really quick and simple. You can then just click to boot from 'CD0:' however I have only tested a few titles so we could do with a compatibility list. Cannon Fodder works perfectly for example but the FMV scenes are missing. Chaos Engine sadly does not work - not for me anyway. There may be some tweak for UAE to make it work.

I think one of the first things new users will want to do is run their old stuff which is why it is a shame we don't have an up to date version of UAE. To 4.1s credit it does come with the latest version with AmigFX - so you are good to go out of the box.

@-Sam-

Did you have Liberation by chance? Did it work? Thanks.
