He have earlier this year mentioned of his wish to release Amiga version as well, and in physical form. So yes, it is likley true, plus, this seems like a sensible way of doing it. They can press even 100 000 copies of that floppy disk, and still get them sold, as for most buyers it is just a fun extra to have something from a past, while to us, we are actually buying that floppy disk and the rest of the stuff are just a bonus. |

I've missed those news! Now I am getting excited about this. If this is really going to happen, it's going to be biggest game release for Amiga in years! |

This is total BS! Mark Cale is an infamous spin doctor with a very questionable history of delivering on promises. This is simply a cheap way of securing column inches and free advertising in a print magazine. Retro Gamer should get a grip and check the quality of its copy and sources before being used in this way. Last edited by Xmas87 on 21-Oct-2013 at 07:08 PM.

| I am really curious if the whole games is on one floppy, or Mr. Cale is just trying to exploit retro effect and the box will contain already available demo version ...

Has the Amiga AGA disk version been confirmed as being included with the Special Edition of the Putty Squad HD re-make or not? System 3 are having a laugh by leaving this up in the air. Also, what happened to the Babylonian Twins after that who-har about it being the first game coded in Iraq? Was that released on the Amiga eventually?

Don't know about Babylonian Twins on the Amiga, but it is a fun iPhone game. Well worth a buck. Having said that, I'd still purchase an Amiga version if it was sold.

Hmm, it was a game I always wanted to play on my miggy but never got around to getting it. Graphics look good, and it looks polished all round. Here's hoping...
I will have to play it via emulation though - a little second rate for such a game.

Argh!
Why can't they just release the disks as ADF's and leave it at that. Amiga and UAE users a like can do the rest.

Hate to say "I told you so", but yeah I knew this was BS all along. All the articles quoted the same source (Retro Gamer) if anyone had a copy of the full game for the Amiga (if it ever existed, and mags didn't just review the demo) it would have surfaced by now. I doubt they even have the full version to be honest, the excuse of "not been able to find disks" is BS, they still sell floppy disks in plenty of stores, saw some in stationary shop Staples today actually.
Having no way to make it available by DLC is BS too, plenty of other sites manage with ADFs or WHDLoads... Mark Cale also has a history of this kind of thing, so yeah, I didn't believe it from the get-go.

They've actually been stringing us along with this "we might release it..." since 2001, apparently the original coder has sources but not the final compiled game. John Twiddy is probably the guy to speak to, if he does have the only copy of the sources I doubt he could release them now that the game is being re-released commercially though.

| I believe that the code for the Amiga version was completed back in the day, but the data was not. Therefore there's still work to be done before it can be released, which they won't do of course. |
