Yeah I suppose you could call it looping. But not exactly. It's actually running a default number of test runs. But as 1 test run takes around an hour to finish you could imagine how long a default of lets say 256 takes..

I just tried out the stick of Crucial ram I bought on speculation when I first got my micro A1. I bought it for cheap JUST BEFORE everyone started saying that most memory wouldn't work in the micro A1. Since my system was working, I decided not to install it. Now since reading this thread, I've installed and tested it, and I am happy to report that it passes memtester perfectly. I will add it to the list of compatible ram at Intuition.base.
Thanks to all on this thread for motivating me to try out this memory stick!

| I've got a Crucial CT64M64S4W75 512MB 144SODIMM PC133 SDRAM Non-Parity CL3 memory stick.
I tested it with 300MG when I first insalled it and it came up with no problems, but for some reason my Micro (GX) appears to have developed a reboot problem, just staying on a black screen, so I ran it again:
"Memtester340" and on the 5th loop:
Walking Ones: testing 31FAILURE: 0xfffff !=0x7fffffff at offset 0x0001997c
Loops 4 and 3 were ok all the way, I think there may have been a problem with the first one, which is why I left it running overnight. But I was playing a CD then, and I may have been half asleep when I read it.
2 had scrolled off the screen BTW.
Is that normal??
I should I send it back??

Talking to myself again, first sign of madness.
Left Memtester running all day, and when I got back loops 6,7,8 and most of 9 were all ok, so it looks fine to me! I suppose when you test something for long enough your bound to get the very occational fail, sun-spot activity and all that!
