I get a message when done all the typings: (thanks to Ferry,Toaks and all I can't remember to get so far)

I have followed the steps but when right click linking in YouTube I get:

IBrowse: EXECUTE: Key too long.

What have I done wrong or is it just that I have to go and buy a Windows machine?

Buahaahaa!

Let's go back to 1980's when my A500 was the best in the town but now we (or I) suck! Normal things can not work. Why?

Key too long? ;( Help.

Saluditos Tio! It's quite hard to know all things in different languages.
Maybe us, with both foreign languages will sometimes understand better;)

Desde Valencia no? You e vivido diez anos cerca de Malaga con mi Amiga pero hace ya mucho tiempo. AmigaFormat estava la mejor compra en el kiosko.
(Cerveza y Cigarillos tambien a segunda)

Ok. Sorry for the bad Spanish and I couldn't find the special letters like we have ä and ö in Finland. Ni¯o

Still I can't get this £@!!¤$£"&//&%$ thing to work as You have seen before in this thread.

IB tells me: EXECUTE: Key too long. -when trying to play/save a file.

What could be done or should I just start with AWeb?(No!;)

I think that I'm retarded or just too drunk but everything should be fine.

What could this mean? Wrong or old IB files, mee too old? Nothing works with Amiga anymore? (Sad) Should I buy a shorter key? Enlighten me if possible.

Everything is possible with Amiga, please make me a GUI!

(I really hate writing this "mumbojumbo" so for now on I'd appreciate some possibilities to pay (in EU?) within an iban code directly to the author for the good (hopefully?) work and we all should be happy for some eurosxamount to the author.)

Are there any plans for MPlayer to control the flow of the .flv movies?
As it stands, trying to advance the movie effectively ends it... :(

As a sidenote, the control panel doesn't work with any type of movie. Is it still work in progress?

@BrandonLee

recent (less than 1 month i'd say) mplayer/libavcodec handles seeking in flv as well. Ask for an updated version. :)

@All

I'll try to release a standard archive to OS4Depot, a tested-twice one, with standard locations for files, perhaps this will solve some problems. Stay tuned...

Saluditos,

Ferrán.

Hi PR,

Do you have a registered version of IBrowse?

The unregistered version can't open more tabs, so, does this hinder the ability to view videos this way? Maybe?

I `ve joined the non-working Ibrowse you-tube queue.

I got this before and after downloading the latest. I still get it.

TITLE
http://
c:wget: missing URL
Usage: c:wget [OPTION]... [URL]...

Try `c:wget --help' for more options.

My version of Ibrowse is registered.

I have solved my problem.

I didn`t have RX in the arexx drawer in S:

@cap and other people with non-working scripts

Well, I dunno what to say... :¬/ I tested the scripts SEVERAL times, and they DO work, and some other people are using them as well, so either you are doing something wrong or we are overlooking some fundamental difference between our machines and/or IB versions. For example, mine is registered, and the scripts worked from day 1, the first versions I tried did. Please, everyone who tried it and is reading this, please post your configs and if you made it work.

IB FAB Menus config should look like this:

taking into accout that the script argument at the end is %l , ie lowercase 'L', from "Link", and not %I , ie uppercase 'i', from "image". Note that depending on the font you are using they look very similar.

If this is not the problem, I don't know what else to try... :¬(

EDIT: Cannot find a list with the restrictions of the shareware version of IB. Anyone?

EDIT2: use this geeky video to try it out... ;¬)

Saluditos,

Ferrán.

@Ferry

I downloaded your OS Depot release, and without modification, copied the four files to 'S:'. I then deleted the old FAB menu entrys and created new ones (thought the old ones pretty much matched your entry in the pic above). I then returned to this thread, I right-clicked the link you provided in message #71 and selected the 'YouTubePlay' from FAB menu. Once again, nothing happened for several minutes, then I get the message in IBrowse Output window:
--
TITLE
http://
c:wget: missing URL
Usage: c:wget [OPTION]... [URL]...

Try `c:wget --help' for more options.
--

In T: I can see the following log (Command-T2-0)

rx s:youtube_play.rexx http://youtube.com/watch?v=yISqCAnROh8

I have a registered IBrowse 2.3 running on OS4 Pre-Release Update 4, running on AmigaOne XE-G4. Typing 'version c:rx' in shell gives 'rx 51.9'. 'Version c:wget' does not give any version information. 'Version c:MPlayer' gives
'MPlayer for AmigaOS4 dev-SVN-r19364'

It seems it is some sort of problem in passing the parameter (url), as the error message seems to come from the actual rexx script. Could this be a shell related problem?

@afxgroup

I tried taking out the -vo and option and set my AWEB string as follows in
the settings/browsersettings/viewers tab:

web:web/flayer/LaunchMPlayer c:mplayer -framedrop - quiet -vc -ffflv -ao sdl %f

I exited and reloaded AWEB and still get the following error (using experimental
#3 Mplayer)

"Option -vo needs a parameter at line 1"

Any explanation or idea why this doesn't work for me?

Thanks,

Scott

@GrumpyOldMan

Man, I don't know what else to try. I have made two other people to try it in different machines, and they all worked from the start (well, apart from one of them having some trouble with LhA and the 's' bit preservation).

@cap

I don't have any rx in s:arexx, only in C:, and it works fine here.

Saluditos,

Ferrán.

@Ferry

I have RX in C: but obviously the system wasn`t finding it as i found by looking in Ram: at the file "Command-T7-0" which told me it was fail at 10 RX.(it still says this tho)

Now all works fine with RX in arexx in S: so if "wget" fails for any one else its definately worth trying.

Perhaps i have some assigns missing.

@all

I can't believe that "C:Execute xxx" should work. "Execute" is not a program in C: any more (hasn't been for yonks), it's a DOS internal command.

It (C:Execute) was deleted in Update4. If you still have it in your C: directory (left over from Update3), then I'd suggest to delete it.

By the way, am I the only one getting unsynchronized video and sound while playing .flv files?
It starts ok, but the more files I see, the worse it gets. After a while, I've noticed second-long lags.

Is this a known issue? Is it fixable?

@tonyw

???

He, he, AFAIK we are not talking about C:Execute, but about c:RX, the command that launches ARexx scripts...

EDIT: sorry Tonyw, know I've seen what you were talking about...

Saluditos,

Ferrán.

@Ferry

Ok, I solved the problem. Apparently this was a path-related problem. I copied the RX and rexx scripts into 'S:Arexx/'. So the files are organised like this:

2.OS4:S/Arexx> list
youtube_play.rexx 2083 ----rwed Yesterday 00:10:30
RX 8928 --p-rwed 25-Jan-06 20:53:38
youtube_save&play.rexx 2122 ----rwed Thursday 23:39:46

2.OS4:S> list
YouTube_Play&Save 76 -s--rwed Today 19:09:36
YouTube_Play 71 -s--rwed Today 19:03:05

In shell, when I type 'which rx' I get
OS4:S/Arexx/RX

So the system finds RX from that directory. I then stripped all path information from the YouTube_Play and YouTube_Play&Save scripts, and let the system find the files. For example in 'YouTube_Play' the rx command line is written:

RX youtube_play.rexx {URL}

After these modifications, both scripts started to work. Finally!
