@Hitman

Put an 'F' on the AHI player to force it. Then it shouldn't attempt the Paula player. Haven't tried it myself though..

Thanks for the tip. However I tried this and rather than crashing, it just gives an error of "Initialisation error" or something similar when I try to load a module.

Anyway, not to worry, it's working now, even if I have to remove the Paula noteplayer.

How did you get around that Initialisation error, I still keep getting it.

I was unable to reproduce the initialization error with DT 2.34. But I got around to trying DigiBooster - which are 8 channel - modules, that does not seem to work.

Sadly neither the DigiBooster or DigiBoosterPRO players use the noteplayer interface, but the latter plays DigiBoosterPRO modules. A slight problem arises from its insistence on boosting the output WAY too much, which makes for a terrible listening experience. If you manually decrease this volume, you may get decent sound, it depends on the module.

@Thematic

Delitracker 2.34, where did you get that from? I thought 2.32 which is the one I have was the last ever Amiga version, at least thats what the docs say.

@Arnie

The update is available here. The readme does mention something about interrupts, I hope it helps.

@Arnie

I have indeed tried AHI-NotePlayer 1.8 , sha1sum 56d9cb6b27b9cbb66587c9546158003d103cd6ac

, and I didn't have any error or problem with it. But I usually use 14Bit-NotePlayer 4.30 in AHI-mode, although its GUI is garbled due ostensibly a font issue. I forgot how I configured it.

@Thematic

I have tried the 14bit notplayer again, this time it did not crash but I still end up with the initialization error but before that there is a clue as it also gave an AHI:Couldn't allocate channels! error. I am using the EMU10K1 AHI driver and have had no other AHI problems as yet. My board doesn't have the on board sound chip so that is not an option.
The good news is I discovered how to un-garble the 14bit GUI. Open the GUI and in the menu- settings Font/GUI select Use Topaz.8 and unselect Horizontal layout. Using another font will result in an unable to open GUI error.
