It was "only" 60 preorders. Look at the news section. They also needed a development system from Hyperion. I don't think they ever recieved that. The communication between Hyperion and Titan was pretty cold back then.
I read a while back that most/many of those preorders couldn't be processed because credit cards payments didn't go through. So Titan therefore stopped the OS4 version. But this could of course be BS. IMO Mr Garlich never wanted to make the OS4 version in the first place so it could have been an excuse.

Well, I think we waited about 6 months before they tried to process them, and I dont know about anyone else but my credit card expired during that time. I get a new one sent out to me every time, but I didnt bother to update Titans records because it looked like nothing was happening, and it looked like nothing was even going to happen.
I'm starting to get a bit sick of trying to pay for software to be ported, and then have them turn around and say no we dont want your money because we dont like OS4. (Yeah, I'm exagerating slightly here but you get my point).
