Just tell him, AmigaOS4 includes limited memory protection and there's something that's called the GrimReaper to catch software failures. OS4.x includes resource tracking to free up used resources when apps fail.

Full memory protection is a way to prevent a system to crash, that's the aim. However memory protected systems can crash or lock up as we all know (for example Windows). And a well written operating system lacking memory protection running well written software can be more stable. The long term aim is to enable full memory protection for future releases.

With Windows, memory protection doesn’t help with kernel space/land software crash. Note the reasons why MS moved most of video drivers to user space/land in Vista.
