@all

CD will be delivered to us mid this week from the CD duplication company and will start shipping to resellers and customers shortly afterward.

@peroxidechicken

I really don't see what your problem is (more so since you are making it clear you aren't a customer anyway). We have not announced any date for the SAM version, and the AmigaOne version is long in the stores.

Good, misery likes company as they say
Don't see why I should be the only one to suffer the torture of waiting.

"las penas con compañia son mas llevaderas"

Google says:

"Penalties are more bearable with company"

Hey Rogue, I didn't mean to step on your or Hyperions' toes back there. Just having a bit of difficulty with the idea that the months and years that Amiga users have waited for products in the past justifies ever more waiting. I don't know if it was any different in the day of Commodore but these days it really seems like there is a widening gap between the users of Amiga products and the producers.

btw I finally took the MorphOS route because they had affordable and available hardware. If OS4 found it's way onto something like CherryPal (or heaven forbid, the Efika) I'd try that too.

I feel the pain Amigan's I'm - actually depressed from all the waiting...
Money well spent, but nothing to hold onto till the wee hours of the morning.

But rest assured more and more people are seeing the DEMO of SAM440ep with a full install of Amiga OS4.1 this weekend right? Or is this a T-Shirt demo all over again?

Next week when AmigaKit gets back from the USA - Show.. AmiWest, I've been told then the boxes and CD's should hit the (postal services shelves) ready and out to reach our addresses.

For now... its like watching an egg hatch in an incubator.

Sam440ep has been available for long time now, and it faster then Elfika, Sam440ep has better specifications, so you pay more for it but you also get more.

MorphOS2.0 cost 150,- euros
AmigaOS4.1 cost 99,- euros for Sam440ep

so you paying less for AmigaOS4.

The point here in this thread I think is just sit tight and be be patient. No point screaming like kids , it will arrive soon enough.

That's a defeatest attitude.

The point of jumping up and down, whining and saying is it here yet?, is to make it arive faster.

I just don't get it. It's not like other products and OS'es get released sooner. Look at how long it took Win Vista to finally come out, after many delays, 5 years after WinXP was released. Or look at how many delays the PS3 had before it finally came out. Then look at how many years have passed between 4.0 and 4.1's release, and even in that shorter time period, there were several updates for 4.0 released. And 4.1 was only announced for the Sam a couple of weeks ago, and I would say that if it's available a few weeks after an announcement was made, that's very unusually fast for a product release in the IT world.

@NutsAboutAmiga

Just a small correction since you stated the price with VAT vs no VAT here =)

AOS 4.1 cost 126 EUR inc. VAT

Yes it's less money for sure, but as they say... you get what you pay for so...

Witty comment. I'll keep it in mind next time someone complains about the prices of Amiga hardware.
