Uh, I'm sure they're not selling the program, rather you're paying $0.99 for the bandwidth to download it!!

Ok, ok, in all fairness it is an Amiga Inc game. Developed by John Harris, Kevin Saunders, and Fleecy Moss

But, the purchased version and the free version are exactly the same.

Funny thing, the free version is even easier to get to. I downloaded it from the MS site with just my MSN messenger login. To even have the privilidege of "paying" for it at Amiga Incs website I had to sign up for their silly AmiPass account.

I mean come on Amiga Inc, if you wanted to give a "Christmas Deal" instead of making it $0.99 just give it out free, or give a friggin' link to the MS site. Jeez!!

Merry F-ing Christmas!

Well, I googled and couldn't find a "Snowman Maker" for MAC, so I guess AmigaOS5 wins this round. :EVIL LAUGH:

I think Amiga recently decided to make something to release around now. This probably took 30 secs to put together. Basically ported the idea from MicroSoft's version or Mac's.

Good to see the company turn out something.

MicroSoft will make no money from releasing it free, Amiga will make a bit of money from this version. Nice red and white boing ball in the o of Snowman

Er, no... If you look at the screenshots you can see they are from one and the same program. The "save" and "send" buttons are the same as is the red bucket on the snow man's head.

Face it, AInc is full of sh!t and a disgrace for the Amiga community.

@TheDaddy

As a fan of a very un-mainstream computer platform I'm glad to see activity from the main company. Simplicity doesn't mean poor.

I have seen students making better stuff using flash in an afternoon

Activity?! WTF?!

They bought Amiga in 2000, it's taken 8, nearly 9 freaking years to give us "snowman maker" game and they charge you for it too!

You must be joking right?!

@Flashlab

They're the same idea, yes, but the Amiga version has better graphics. Just like old amiga games being better than their PC counterparts. Amiga living up to expectation in that respect. I hope their dollar goes far.

OK, Im sure they're capable of a bit more than a simple game. As I said, it probably took them 30 seconds to put together.

If that's what they think makes the company worth 80some million dollars, then sorry but all I can think of is Eric Cartman from Southpark going into his histerical laughter.

@Al4

As far as I can see it's the same program; maybe they just added a boing ball for their website. They are asking one buck for the boing ball? I can do without the boing ball, the whole snowmanmaker and AInc. I hope no fool buys this when it can be had for free as a gift from the people that actually made it.

You must have some shares of Ainc or something to still believe in their crap. I wish you luck in your naivity. Enough people have told you what AInc really is these days. Don't come crying here when AInc will fail to deliver anything else than Snowmanmaker Deluxe next year which can probably be had for free too.
