how hard would it be to make the 4350 when you have the r5xx chipset fixed.....

I'm going to work on 2D blitter acceleration for R600 cards first. The Radeon HD 4350 is an RV710 card. The R700 series is supposed to be similar to the R600 series, so hopefully getting the Radeon HD 2400 acceleration working will be most of the work required to get the 4350 working.

It seems that the server hosting my site is having trouble right now. Hopefully this will be solved soon.

@Hans

Impressive work, have you done any 3d for any of the cards?

@Thread
Many have doubted this but I am pretty confident that these are the "major" steps needed to have these drivers.
For "major" I mean that the entire initial (and colossal) work doesn't need to be re-performed all the time (at least for similar chipsets, the Radeons HD 5000 series might be different) way to go Hans!

@DAX

Agree, it's a great effort! Now all we need is an Amiga with PCIe to make better use of the cards

will your drivers work with AGP x8 ATI graphic cards like HD3850 ? I know you are testing PCI cards but what about AGP (I know AGP port on AmigaOnes are 2x).

thanks for your work and dedication

The 2D drivers are required in order to support 3D and Hans has only just finished 2D for for x1000 series cards. Maybe someone else will have the time to do 3D for those cards while Hans gets on with 2D for newer cards.

X4/8 cards are the wrong voltage and you're likely to break your motherboard and the video card if you plug it in.

No 3D work yet. That will come eventually.

would it not be worthwhile in the future by-passing warp3d, and porting/using mesa/gallium3d?

That would be my preference.

Nice work! I hope to see more chip supported in 2D/3D, and new Hardware to be able to really test this.
Does your work parts of this mysterious MAP?

Is HD3850 compatible with the A1 agp-slot what comes to voltage etcetera?

No. I'm not involved with the MAP.

To date, I have never found a Radeon HD AGP card that is compatible with the voltages of a 2x AGP slot.

@lionstorm

If the drivers work for a PCI/pcie card with a particular chip model, it should also work for the same chip in an AGP Card. But, without a PowerPC board with an 8x slot, why does it matter for an 8x card?

I am asking just because I have a radeon 3850 next to me doing nothing that I bought for an "old" PC which has AGI slot and therefore, was not compatible with all AGP graphic cards

thx all for your replies
