@marko
That's it my friend you nailed it!!! (at least if what I see showing in the Red part is the world map )

As you can see the world only shows in the Red parts while the white ones stay solid/matte.

This way it's not messy and looks Awesome!

If that is not the world map showing than that's the only change I would make (I don't like the design where the world map seem "embossed" all over the BoingBall).

Yes, I second that; Diego's at post #22 and marko's at #39
diego's could have the white squares a bit more visible.

@DAX

It's not the world map, it is this

I've got some few more (different than in #39):

I'm not a graphic artist (only a coder), so I'm expecting a real pro wrapping up a similar but better logo in no time...

EDIT: Here's another big version:

EDIT: Yet another, just for fun:

@marko
The top left one looks just about PERFECT. The translucent red glass makes it look professional & adds depth (it no longer looks flat), without making it too complicated or fussy. The highlight + shadow also helps make it clear that it is a round ball.

IMHO showing the world through half of the squares is pointless, because (a) you can't tell it's the world, and (b) essential details should not be tiny in a logo (and it looks messy too). In fact I don't think showing world over the whole ball works either, for similar reasons.

@ChrisH
maybe you're right, one thing is a HUGE drawing (as it was initially presented here) one thing is the docked icon. The latter would be to small to make out anything so, I believe we're good to go...

Now the Frieden's have the easy job of finishing the app that goes with the logo

P.S. Do you think that would work for Open Office too?

nice !

I like the trasperency of the Boing Ball, this is to make the Amiga brand look more modern, dynamic, changing for the future.

we just need some text logos and maybe a Mascot ?

(ducks)

Hmm, check the original logo and than all the the amigaized versions. See the difference? The original logo has uniform graphics style of cartoon but precisely shaded (well dont know how to tell it in english, but i hope you get it....), i mean fox and earth fit together. All the boing-earth versions looks like bad joke. Best version is the exec.pl one with simple boingball, only missing part is the proper shading, which will make the logo look right.

Well those will be fantastic!!!

Still I think that you would have to scale them a lot to see anything

Looks like the image link has moved.

Here's a new link (it's actually Morphix's avatar)

New link
