@KimmoK

I'd go with some modular form of things as well, I'd definitely do any "forced to be some special thing" Amiga design today that way. Use as much off the shelf stuff as absolutely possible, only make anything new that is really important and doesn't exist elsewhere, and make it as reusable elsewhere as possible, even if you don't know who else would use it just now, but try to figure out someone and consider those needs.

Then the hardest part is finding a PowerPC host card for your backplane (may need to choose a backplane format based on PowerPC availability for it) and getting the porting fee and whatever together to make OS4 happen for it.

@Ancalimon

Probably can sell DOZENS.

As I see it there is a small market for machines equal to or slightly better than best Amiga released by Commodore and then there is NEWER machines for AmigaOS 4.X that.run NEW software for today's needs.Newer machines can run old software with help of 68k emulators

I'd MUCH rather see more work on MorphOS, and more work on AmigaOS 4.X ,
Like to see versions of MorphOS and AmigaOS better optimized AND running on many EXISTING Mac PPC models ,SAMs, and efikas.

Since my old 400Mhz G3 iMac Lime can run DVD movies in MacOS then it seems odd that efika and SAMs of comparable speeds can't do as well,especially since the iMac displayed DVDs using 64Mb system RAM and either 6 or 8Mb video ram!!! If it can't be done on the efika 400 Mhz PPC ,with twice the system RAM and 16 times the video RAM ,or on the SAMep (any speed) with 8 times the system RAM and 8 times the video RAM then the software OBVIOUSLY needs works.

Not that I know HOW to fix the OSes, just that ,like most, I can see when the toast is burnt!

I would pay $100 to $150 for AmigaOS for one of my efikas or Mac G3/4s
That is also the price I'd like to see MorphOS at rather than $225!

@Ancalimon

Are you speak about the Natami board? Because I'll buy this motherboard card with a good price.
