Ok guys I find it rather strange that these beta test boards have been built and shipped and still not one screenshot or pic. We havent had any decent shots since Amiwest? How can that be?
I'm really confused as to the lack of news..

i seriously think they will arrive by those who pre payed them within few weeks now. they have to deliver finally after all these screenshots have been posted, if only not to make definitely fools of themselves.

Call me Mister Silly, but if it were me, and I had just got my hands on an X1000, I would actually be more interested in finding out what it can do, than taking photos of it and sticking it on the internets.

Especially since, if I remember rightly, the beta systems are just the motherboards plus OS. Nothing we haven't seen already, in other words.

No need to be confused, Beta testers would of Signed a Non-disclosure contract to be a beta tester. So you wont get any shots or info from them... full stop

btw, why there is always up to five boards on all these fotos? is that some kind of magic number around there? and what is this one package wrapped in gold? looks as if it could contain some religious artifact. at least thats what i would carry around in a golden box.

Five because they were used to prove the beta run was setup ok to run, the gold bd was the first to prove the design.

If you are looking for "proof of life", there is little evidence more compelling than a video of the X1000 board being assembled.

It`s really not all in pics (even more board pics are avail now then previous year for a reason - production actually started).

The final Amiga OS (4.1.3 and beyond?) testing phase is far more important cornerstone since "the beast is now way beyond the OS"

NDA will prevent a lot of details and pic coming out but its only 12 weeks away to Amiwest 2011 and hopefully we will get a lot more details on the system.

1. Why are you guys adopting the bplan "2 more weeks" joke??? (as if "when its done wasnt lame enough)

2. I'm not looking for the actual testers to post shots and violate nda (and please someone explain why in the world would these guys need an NDA? nobody in the industry cares about os4 to have people sign NDA) How about Hyperion? There has been zero activity of actual progress shown on this front in months.

The NDA is for os4.2 development, for the most part.

Sh*t happens, nobody likes it, but we still have plenty of toilet paper to get us through this next stage.

It remains to be seen what the testers will be allowed to show, but since the system & bd have been shown at shows, I see no reason unpacking & assembly videos/pictures can't be shown, but thats unclear so far. One step at a time, the bds need to get to ppl first before that issue comes up.

"2 weeks", something will always happen in 2 weeks, sometimes bad, sometimes good.
