Regarding old threads that needs to be moved to new forums: We are not planning a massive move of threads, due to the workload.
But, we will move threads if bumped, or if needed. The later could be moving the some threads from old Alt Amiga OS forum, if you need this, PM someone in staff.

I never saw that movie, but of course I've heard the name. I am a big fan of songs which were written during WW2.

Such niceness to see some cooperation among camps: Finally MOS and AROS will have dedicated forums and thus become completely equal

I asked on AROS-Exec here. I got a "I guess they should be ok" from Paolone who uses the eye in Icaros. That might be the closest thing to 'yes' in AROS land..!

| @moderators/administrators
Is this forum aligned with a commercial entity or has it suddenly become amigans.net?
It is your site to do with as you please, but as a regular, I am surprised this didn't even result in a poll. IIRC even A.org had a poll, and they are even more anti-CUSA.
Is this an open forum, for all Amiga flavours, as it purports to be?
If this is the case, relegating CUSA to the boondocks/boonies, or rendering moot, any independent and open discussion between the AmigaNG community and Commodore USA regarding future collaboration, is a very short sighted move. I would say the majority of people don't go past the front page to look at threads which would leave many people out of the discussion.
Is this site defining what an Amiga is? Where is that going to end do you think? That's a slippery slope you're starting down.
Couldn't you make such censorship opt-in for people who regularly have their head explode at the slightest notion of an alternative opinion? I wonder how many people would actually pick such self censorship, which makes me wonder what the point of doing such a thing was in the first place.
I see this action as a victory for the trolls....and major overreaction in regard to moderation.
I ask the moderators and the administrators to please reconsider and think of other solutions, as this does seem like an attack on CUSA by what I always took as an [edit:impartial] and independent forum.

why not report back as soon as cusa releases something which is at least called "amiga". you would have a little better cards to back up your complaints. |

CUSA has no Amiga related product.
Surely, when CUSA stops censorship that other Amiga related hardware and software products exist(ed) before and paralelly CUSA on its Facebook, Forums, You Tube and representation itself as both Commodore International and Amiga Inc, (untrue, CUSA is merely a name licence for some computer models) they should be treated equal. Simply CUSA should be what it is - CommodoreUSA and not what it isn`t.
(equal rights and democracy approach)
Or as CUSA bluntly used to say: why would we promote something that is not our product?

Sure it does, they can sell Amiga kickstart and workbench up to 3.0 plus they could go with a quick branding of some hardware tomorrow if they really wanted to. Creating a "new" product is fairly simple for them to do, but I think they rather take the time to do justice to the Amiga name.

They have more access then that, they have software (as I pointed to in the above) from both Commodore and Amiga Inc. Other then you don't like C=USA nor do you like them being licensed by Commodore and Amiga Inc, what is your point trolling against C=USA? Shouldn't you be out promoting the AmigaOne and or OS4 instead? Wouldn't that be a better use of your time?

| It would be nice to have an official reply from the site admin or moderator in charge rather than the usual gang. _________________ Leo Nigro, CTO Commodore USA, LLC Opinions expressed are my own and not those of C= USA. Again, there is no Amiga related product existing in any way, including this emulation. CUSA itself has announced that Amiga Box in CommodoreOS vision is provided in partnership with Amiga Forever, on this formula.

Point is that CommodoreUSA missrepresents itself as not what it is. It doesn`t relaunch Commodore 64, it launches CommodoreUSA 64x etc. etc.
Both Aussie and you are right that way we do see facts are rather different, so no point in discussion. So I`ll stop it here for this thread.
However, for company that does censorship on its own media and attacks Amiga community while constantly calling on it on the web site (by great interest of community etc,), blaming moderators here for no democracy is a joke.
And to remind you that you do have fake Commodore fake Amiga forum of your own (should be CommodoreUSA support forum). Where even a AROS information is almost not existing . Interesting ways to cast illusion of being alone in the universe._________________ Future Acube and MOS supporter, fi di good, nothing fi di unprofessionals. Learn it harder way! |
