Dang, I forgot! Thanks for the reminder.
I was actually thinking of this classic:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8To-6VIJZRE
What an embarrassment...
But seriously, looking forward to seeing what goes on at AmiWest when the news filters through. Being from Melbourne, I have no chance to get there

| Just watching live now...
Be nice if people wore big name badges so we could tell who's who... or pop up to the camera and say "Hi I'm Moxee or AmigaDave" or whatever...

That'll be neat... be nice to put some faces to some of the folk that we chat with on the forum...
PS: Heard a couple of the guys near the camera saying that the mens loo was a bit pongy but the mould that was growing there last year had gone... :-0
You guys are paying to stay there, complain to the management if the loos stink... then again if you do that you never know what they might do to your food if you complain...

Interesting. I noticed that I was able to view the live video using my AmigaOne and MPlayer GUI, but when I tried using WinAMP on my PC laptop, it started downloading and then said "File type not recognized" or something like that. What extra codecs are required for WinAMP to play these videos?

| @Kronos Pr-stunts?
If you had done a bit more PR I think there would have been a few (more?) Danish Amiga users there. At least AmiGBG in Sweden had quite a lot of Danes attending and that was like 250km from Copenhagen.
A weekend away from home is always nice and 440km wouldn't be that long to drive 350 if I go by ferry). Next year...
Have a nice show and with a little PR it will be twice the size of AmiWest ;) (was that ever actually a BIG show?)

I assume the camera is offline at the moment. When do the Americans wake up and start streaming again? Wake up! The rest of the world is already enjoying their weekend Last edited by BigD on 20-Oct-2012 at 03:03 PM.

Thanks! The stream was working great for a minute or two but I think some tubby Yank just paused it Oh well I suppose the day is still young. Might tune in again at 21:00 GMT to see the AmigaOS roadmap. _________________ "Art challenges technology. Technology inspires the art." John Lasseter, Co-Founder of Pixar Animation Studios |

Back on line now! Must be technical gremlins! Thought they'd need the old BBC test card F girl for a second!
"need another plug in," I head them say. Let's hope it is reliable by 21:00 GMT
I remember listening to Trokia at an Amiga show back in 2005 over a rubbish dial-up audio stream that kept cutting out. We've come a long way since then. Shame it's been built on the back of other computer technologies rather than AmigaOS _________________ "Art challenges technology. Technology inspires the art." 2 comments from my fly on the wall at AmiWest experience
1) They should have taken better care with the table cloths, they should have been boxed in my opinion
Youtube: How to box a table
2) Couldn't they not have sorted out the streaming video setup before the show? I mean first I see and hear the hubbub then I they lose the video and I can only hear the audio then the video comes back up again. What's going on

I remember burning show audio recordings to CD and listening to them in the car on the way to work back in about 2002 when I got my first MP3/CD head unit. |

| Just watched the talk with Trevor although I missed quite a bit because I had a phone call from my mum. You can't exactly say hang on I'm watching an Amiga show in America on the interwebs.
It seems the PA6T is now costing them $975 a piece so. I don't think they'll be doing another batch but they estimate that it will be January by the time they fulfill all the orders they can. A-EON are planning their next Freescale based board. Development costs will be factored into the retail price so it will pay for itself provided enough sell. Hopefully those who missed out on the X1000 won't have to wait too long for the successor. Last edited by Rob on 20-Oct-2012 at 07:49 PM.
