@abalaban

building libjpeg is trivial if you need a new version....

@broadblues

Yes of course, but I don't know which (old) version of the library was working.

(Some time ago I managed to rebuild a working version of fltk but since then the SDK had several overhauls and libjpeg on OS4depot has been updated more than once...)

The real problem is that I don't know exactly which part of the code is causing this problem because it just exits the program after printing the message. And with the debug offer we currently have on AmigaOS it's almost impossible to find out where is the problem: is it in fltk itself? is it in flphoto?

@abalaban

Can't you just look for any file that has the error message, and then when you find the error message in the file look for the string definition in the files, so see where the message might be coming from.

@abalaban

I might be missing something, but there's a libjpeg actually in the 1.3 source tree.
http://svn.easysw.com/public/fltk/fltk/branches/branch-1.3/

...and in every branch v1.1 and up.

@NutsAboutAmiga

The error message is in libjpeg.

@Chris_Y

Hmm, I started over from the previous port done by M3x (Max Tretene) I'll try to see if I can use the library version that comes from the repository.

@all

Ok, I managed to recompile fltk with its companion libraries (there are three libjpeg, libpng and libz) and now flphoto works again. So I'll probably clean all this and release a new version of both fltk and flphoto relatively soon (though probably not before the end of the next week because of real-life constraints).

I don't remember seeing this FLTK port in action, is it feature complete and stable?

This uses FLTK

@ferrels

I tried to use the FLDev FLTK IDE lately but it just crashes on my OS4.1 now. Sure it used to work but now being old and buggy and without updates next to useless now.

@Hypex

I may try to look at it, never used it though. But be prepared I have other projects I want to release too, so it may take a while until I find and fix this. (In the meantime almost anyone can try to rebuild it using my updated fltk library

@abalaban
nice to have a new version and it would be nicer to have the 1.3.1 version
of fl-photo
There is a little problem with printing, it seems to impossible to save the
postscript file on a partition different from where fl-photo it's installed
for example if I have fl-photo on Applicazioni:Grafica/fl-photo and I try
to save the printed file on RAM: I get a message like:
cannot create file ../../../RAM/p.ps

edit: just realized that for fl-photo 1.3.1 we need a more recent fltk

@abalaban

I'm talking about this:
http://os4depot.net/index.php?function=showfile&file=development/ide/fldev.lha

Although I haven't examined it all closely.
