Warp3D is owned by Aeon now, they can develop it how they see fit now.

No. It shows the first frame but then it doesn't play any further. I'll have to test all versions of mplayer I have.

Helgis will be happy :) Havent used octamed but i remember it had midi in/out support which would be interesting for me. But we will see when its finished. I really need a good tracker that i can control my hardware synthesizers too. It would probably be a good complement to hd-rec i use now.

A new Early-Startup menu *this one is running on the X5000* (will be introduce in OS4.2 I believe, IIRC. Or maybe in the 4.1 Final, not sure...)

At last!! Very nice

I have done quite a bit of music with Octamed in "those" days. Happy to see it back.

I knew something about the new Xorro board, though I never expected photos of my rats-nest prototype to be shown in public.

Almost forgot,

the software running on the Xorro board, is a Debugging tool for developers (so the need for a second computer connected via serial will be redundent if the tool is used).

Oh there was also some talk about an inbuilt-debugger into the Grim Reaper or a thing like that.

Nevertheless, it was more info and features in Grim Reaper why programs crashes to help developers.

Maybe someone who knows more about this can fill in the gaps...

Not necessarily.

I missed the announcement, but I'd assume you'd need to get whatever data is captured by that board out of there, so using the same computer would only work if you can actually boot it.

So in some cases you might still need a real serial link to a second computer.

Best regards,

Niels

@nbache

The captured data is stored on a SD card present on the Xorro board

@nbache

X-Logger saves the debug stream to an on-Xorro SD Card.
I can offer three potential ways out..

After a "fast" reset, the X-Logger is still open, still recording, as if the reset never happened.

After a "full" reset, the X-Logger will reset also, but all of the previous debug stream is still saved.

In both of the above cases, the log may be retrieved through the Sentinel program, just by selecting which log you want. it is then copied to your RAM: disk from the SD card on the Xorro board.

In the event that your computer is unable to reboot.. you may pull the SD card and plug it in to anything that reads SD cards. It's a plain text file on a standard FAT formatted card.

So about the only "fail" is if you are never able to load/run Sentinel in the first place. And there may be a fix for that in a later revision. :)

:)
