How about CDXL? That must be lossy, surely (well, it's HAM at least )? Although I rather suspect MPEG1 pre-dates it, not to mention other stuff like JPEG and MJPEG.

According to a quick search, CDXL fails, as it is uncompressed. But according to this MPEG1 came after CDXL which was made for the CDTV.
