@Niolator

Glad you got it sorted. If you see that error again the place to look for the file is in PPaint_Prefs/UIText.eng etc

Check if it's present, check it's file permisions (must be at least readable) and check there is no PPaint: assign pointing to another older instatlation.

For next release of ppaint is it possible to add à public screenname
I would like to create rxmui plugin which open directly into PPaint

actualy is not possible

PPaint runs on a private screen, not a public one so a name wont help you here.

If you want to write a script plugin with a GUI check out some of the examples in PPaint:Rexx, as PPaint does provide basic gui support itself. You script would have to allow PPaint to close it's screen as required or bad things will happen.

Waiting for the new Net release to purchase (and to get the stuff easily moved from work via e-mail without burning any old-fashioned cd:s or loosing any memory sticks etc)

PPaint is already available to buy over the net.

Waiting also for the opinion (At Installation) to choose the HP Colour LaserJet 2600n as a default Printer and the F380 to Scan some copies.

PPaint uses the system printer, so install the appropriate driver.

The DPIV Anims showed OK in the Coverdisk Version.

Are saying there a problem with them in the latest version?

Now waiting for a version to add sfx in a certain frame.

No need to wait for implmented features.
[edit]oops sorry misread that thought you meant image effects, no re reading you mean sound. It's been discussed but one issue is that there is no standard format for such. So creating something that plays back anywhere but PPaint would be tricky [/edit]

Then waiting for a version that converts this all to an universal (pc?) format and then I'll be very satisfied to send the ongoing 30 years old work to an Amigaguy or have any resolutions possible.

JPEG, PNG, AnimGIF not universal (pc?) enough? PPaint has supported all since ages.

Sorry this is very demanding. But it's 2015.

That's okay, look forward to hearing how much you enjoyed your purchase.

PPaint does not support scanning.

They should still work. Adding sfx is not going to happen, there was never a standard format for IFF anims and animgif's don't support sound at all.

RTFM!!!

None of your problems are to do with PPaint. You need to RTFM, there is a single slightly updted english guide file that I made as well as the original english, german and itallian versions that are hundreds of files and a total nightmare to update. Links a done via line numbers minus file headers, instead of by node so adding or removing a line involves changing thousands of links for every reference after the change.

I'm not planning to convert the German or Italian guides as it's a very long and tedious job, although I could be persuaded financially

edit: typos
