For me, the true Amiga ended with the Amiga 1200/4000.

I will take the word "True" out, as there where some others like inside out; Draco computers is sort of in the gray zone. Anyway, way Amiga was always transcending into more consumer electronic main stream with upgrade kits that people found imaginary ways to attach to things like A1200 clock port, and piggy backed on other chips.

Amiga too me is also that hardware that existed in 80 and 90's, but today you need a bit more CPU power and better graphics and audio chips, then we were happy with back then.

This is what NG or AmigaONE is about, a bit more modern hardware for a bit more upgraded AmigaOS4.1.

@NutsAboutAmiga

The reason for the differentiation between Amiga and AmigaNG works both ways.
While straying from architecture, NG systems try to remain relevant.

Stated simply, I got tired of dragging the corpse behind me.

If AmigaOS 4 was developed for it, it is a NG Amiga. Enough said. (SANS the Classic AmigaOS 4 Version).
