I thought Doomy was banned. |
We don't actually know for sure that RetroGeek is Doomy, but we can be pretty sure. If it is him, then he's obviously changing his account, making him very difficult to ban! The mods might as well ban EVERYONE to make sure they get Doomy!
Besides, I think members can only be banned for X days, then they're back. In your account you might have noticed "Num of complaints: X abuse reports" (I'm clean) and "Other: Restricted for X days." Once those days are up, they're back._________________ SEX SUX

Most of us agree, the A1200 is THE MOST VERSATILE of all Amigas, indeed, it is more expandable than any other Amiga. |
'THE MOST VERSATILE'? You make it sound as if you're gonna pump it one and have it give birth! |

NOT TRUE ! The Amiga 2000 Series is THE most expandable of all the Amiga models. More hardware and boards were produced for the Amiga 2000 Series then any other Amiga model. |
I really can't aggree with you.
There is not so many expansions which you can use in A2000, but can't use in A1200. You can always expand your A1200 with zorro-ii or zorro-iii busboard which allows you to use same expansion cards as A2000 and more. A2000 has only zorro-ii.
You can also connect PCI busboard to A1200, you can't do that if you have A2000. A1200 also has "clock port" where you can connect lot's of weird stuff which you really would not expect to see connected to clock port There is also expansions which you plug on top of chips on A1200 motherboard, A1200 has pcmcia port.. and list goes on.
I think A1200 is insanely expandable which you would not except if you think unexpanded A1200 in the original "keyboard" case.
I aggree with others, A1200 was not intended to be so expandable. But A1200 really is the most versatile and expandable Amiga commodore ever designed.

>The most popular Amiga model in Europe was the low quality Amiga 1200.<
I had myself an A500 at "the beginning" and most of my friends had generally A500 or AtariST/Amstrad CPC some even had MO5-MO9/TO7-TO70. Later on (1992-1994) a few of them moved to A1200 (I didn't at that time being short in Cash...). On EBay, you will also see mainly A1200 for sale (not many other models, just a few...). Same on Amibench... The A1200 had the advantages than once in a tower, you could expand it so much (I believe far more than an A500, but I never tried to really upgrade mine except the Ram). It's just about a year ago (after the lost of my A500 five years before) that I decided to buy again an Amiga. This was an A1200 Desktop from Amibench. Now I have two A1200 Desktop (+1 for parts), and three A1200T (which have been expanded a lot) which I am really happy about ! YES the A1200T is extremely expandable and never caused me any troubles !
The only time I saw an A2000 (except on TV) was in a shop in the 90'. It was turned off...
