I'm reinstalling everything on my A4000T after it's finally fixed and there is this problem with IBrowse. There is purple background on all the bottons on the toolbar. I tried opening those image files using multiview and it also shows the purple background. Is there a problem with my Cybergraphics installation? or maybe a wrong datatype? Or are the images that way by default? I remember them being images in magic workbench palette in the past.

@Ancalimon

This brings some memories. There was problem with those images with the latest(?) release of IBrowse. I don't remember exactly what it was, but maybe purple background color wasn't set to color 0 and that's why it wasn't transparent as intented, or something like that.

Anyway, I fixed palette of those images myself back then and I still seem to have those fixed images on net. You can grab them from here: http://jpv.wmhost.com/IB-ImageFix.lha

@jPV

Thanks a lot! :)

Maybe you should upload this to aminet until the archive is fixed at IBrowse homepage?

@Ancalimon

That's possibly a datatypes issue, as by default some GIF's have a pink background which is ment to be transparent. So if its not transparent it will show up as pink.

@TheAMIgaOne

I have moved the Amiga don't have access to any of my computers at the moment apart from this laptop. I don't remember installing any gif datatype. I only installed the warp datatypes that I bought a decade ago. (I don't hink there is any warpgif datatype).

Anyway, doesn't IBrowse use its internal engine to decode gifs?

Also the fixed images also appear with purple background when shown with multiview (but they appear correct in IBrowse toolbar).

That depends on settings. Most people use the internal viewer, yes.

Those internal images, which were the issue, are IFFs anyway. They just don't have that pink color set as bg color even when it's used for the bg. Purple was supposed to be shown as transparent, but wasn't. I left the purple there and didn't modify any colors, I just set that purple to bg color and it fixed the issue.

I don't know if those originals work ok in certain setups? Maybe it needs some palette manipulation patch in use or something? Or doesn't like some... in any case these fixed should work with all setups I think.

Maybe I should upload this "quick fix" to Aminet, because this hasn't been corrected in these 8 years :) Although I don't have copyright to these gfx, but well...
