KMOS "bought" the assets of Amiga, Inc. then changed their name to Amiga, Inc. -- simple as that.

You are right Kmos was not dissolved. it was renamed hence Kmos is Amiga Inc.
it bought the rights to the name then used it as their own. companies do this sort of thing all the time. hence this quote from the news section of amiga inc

The new site blows. A few are arguing the point that
"great graphics != great site" so any one complaining
about the graphics wouldn't know a good site if it bite
them in the backside. That may be true, but remove
the graphics completly. Read the text content.

Well someone has updated the site because it looks more presentable now.
I imagine the first site was put up in hurried fashion to get basic information to the community.But as usual, the nay-sayers are there right away to condem anything the Amiga owners give us. Amiga Inc. should wait until they have something concrete before they expose themselves to all the BS that is posted in many of these threads.
Wait a few more hours and give Amiga Inc/KMOS a chance.
Amiga Inc/KMOS have been through many battles,a lot more than we will ever know.
A few hours longer and we will know what their plans are and what the future holds for the Amiga community.
Amiga Inc / KMOS, I wish you well.
