Does it mean that 3rd update=final version?

Probably not. There will most likely be a 3rd update as well. We'll have to see. Producing the final box of OS 4 will take some time as well (knowing our luck I would say a month at least).

Any news about updated developer material (docs, tutorials and hopefully with lots and lots of program examples)?

No, but that is not necessary - since Adam works on OS 4, and all members of the team have access to the whole of the source tree, Adam can do the necessary changes himself.

I know how far the ACK boards have proceeded, but it is not for me to comment on that - Adam will make anything public that he thinks is required.

That clearly falls under the bugfixing category. We thought we had found the culprit, but it turned out it wasn't. Work is still going on.

We are aware that documentation and example code is the one big thing we're painfully missing, but nothing new has emerged yet - there is simply not enough people for that, plus you would need qualified technical writers for anything serious. We plan to work on that, but right now concentrate rather on the finalization of OS4.

Nice to hear. Gives me the idea it is still well and alive.

Hopefully, we'll get some sort of status update soon.

Hi,

I know many people may not care, but is A1 floppy support in the works?

The reason I'm asking is that I have an A1-SE and USB mass storage doesn't work. Floppy will be a great help for transfering small LaTeX source files for me.

Thank you,
Firbodi

@Rogue

NDK style akin to the older Developer Kits?
or a "newstyle" to go with the new implimentation?

as I still have several minimal DK updates and can work on a more "complete" NDK
for general use out of my own efforts if the DevKitis going to still be distributed as
either an additional folder on the AOS4 CD or 2nd CD.. I am definitely ordering
this WITH my AmigaONE order asap :)

I would suggest the "Classic" style with "Update" changes with the new toolkit...
as an idea to consider...if not already given any thought...

I shall be looking through this for a few features that I need for a couple of projects
I have only on paper for now...
