Is that surely compatible, as @kgrach describe elsewhere?? Curious ...

It's been tested for the last 3 months on our micro-A1 without any problems.
What problems has Kgrach highlighted previously? _________________ Amiga Kit Amiga Store Links: www.amigakit.com | New Products | A600GS |

Is the image shown actually the RAM module you're selling? If so, I expect it's a Mac RAM module (nothing wrong with that, as long as it works!)
What are the specs? I'm assuming CAS3? _________________ Are we not done with the same silly arguments and flames yet??! |

No the image is not exactly the same, but it could possibly work on some older Powerbooks. _________________ Amiga Kit Amiga Store Links: www.amigakit.com | New Products | A600GS |

Vut it's 'high profile' as shown?
What are the specs? CAS2 or CAS3?

Is this RAM module also available for Canadian µA1-C users. _________________ --------- AmigaClyde

That's excellent news!
I'll definitely be buying one, but I'll need to wait until the end of the month when I get paid.
Kind regards,

Eh ... don't really know about his testing procedure, but as he stated before, that special rams are manufactured, because of incompability issues. |

Well last night I attempted to install Debian Linux on the microA1 with the 512MB SODIMM to further test it and it went through OK (apart from one small problem connecting to the US Debian mirror to download the base installation).
However, Debian isnt up and running yet due to read only configuration issue with the boot partition.
The memory seems very stable- if anyone has tests they want me to perform on the memory, please make a suggestion...
This memory is CL3 as per the original Apacer 256MB SODIMM. _________________ Amiga Kit Amiga Store Links: www.amigakit.com | New Products | A600GS |

I used this memory test tool under linux ...
http://pyropus.ca/software/memtester/memtester-4.0.5.tar.gz
It is small and simple, yet quite complete set of tests.
It won't compile under OS4, it uses some mystical mman.h, memory management declarations.
It may be reliable test tool to catch incompatible/fault memory. It seeks flipped/walking bits allso, wich is said to be broblem with A1 machines with particular memory sticks.
It is allso possible, that these memory read/write errors occurs under heavy cpu load easier. My CPU fan is temperature guided, and under Linux installation procedure I can hear, that CPU usage is high. Maybe this is, why linux installation fails easily in some machines... (??) So one should make some continous cpu hoggy operations during test.
Lot of maybe ... sorry. It is not segured, that if memory stick won't fail under this test, it is ok, but this hopefully gives some good sense.
IMPORTANT. Good testing time is long, maybe 24 hours or more... here is one professor in university, who's best hobby is examine old memory simms and he makes over 48 hour test periods (yes, we all have our hobby... ).
Hope this helps.
This is from readme:
About the Tests ---------------
The following tests are from the original version, updated simply for speed and rewritten to fit the new framework of the program. These tests will mainly catch memory errors due to bad bits which are permanently stuck high or low: Random value XOR comparison SUB comparison MUL comparison DIV comparison OR comparison AND comparison The following tests were implemented by me, and will do a slightly better job of catching flaky bits, which may or may not hold a true value: Sequential Increment Block Sequential Solid Bits
The remaining tests were also implemented by me, and are designed to catch bad bits which are dependent on the current values of surrounding bits in either the same word32, or in the preceding and succeeding word32s. Bit Flip Checkerboard Walking Ones Walking Zeroes Bit Spread
There is also a test (Stuck Address) which is run first. It determines if the memory locations the program attempts to access are addressed properly or not. If this test reports errors, there is almost certainly a problem somewhere in the memory subsystem. Results from the rest of the tests cannot be considered accurate if this test fails: Stuck Address

GGS Data also have 512MB's in stock now (the same?):
512MB - PC133, SODIMM 64Mx64 Synchronous DRAM DIMM. 133MHZ (PC133) CAS/CL Latency: 3
Tested in AmigaOne µ-A1-C
1295 SEK
Perfect for all you Swedes and/or Scandinavians (and others as well )! GGS Data is a very good dealer!

Yep, Gunne is one of the good guys. Bought memory for my A1 through him _________________ This weeks pet peeve: Using "voltage" instead of "potential", which leads to inventing new words like "amperage" instead of "current" (I, measured in A) or possible "charge" (amperehours, Ah or Coulomb, C). Sometimes I don't even know what people mean. |

Thanks very much
The memory has been on test since Nov last year with AmigaOS apps and general operation.
I will run the program you supplied and post the results back here.

Thank You for the nice words !
hmm... is it something special behind... ?
Anyway, memory works fine. But it is of course needed to replace the ordinary memory module if upgrading, as there is only one memory socket.
