@NutsAboutAmiga

I very much doubt Hyperion will do that. People have been nagging them for a new UBoot since 2005, so far nothing. What would change their mind now?

@zerohero

They are buzzy whit work on Timer Wolf and AmigaOS4.1 I really don't think they have time.

Even signing a NDA might solve the problem, if they trust you that is.

But you need it to test your work under OS4.x...

I mostly play PC games and run Skype this days, sick of nagging over software I created in the past.
When I use AmigaOS4.1 is mostly to test new software from other developers.

I can live whit out AmigaOS4.1 for a while.

True.

Hmm, what about Open Firmware for A1 instead?

What would that change (as long as Hyperion has to add the OS4 dongle code to the firmware)?

We could develop the A1 U-boot further, if Hyperion would generate official U-boot images automatically from a public repository. Let's say the image (with the dongle code) is generated every day at 12:00 and is then available for download from the Hyperion website for those that have registered their OS4 CD. Naturally normal users should wait for an approval from the U-boot developers.
