btw, you _might_ need a crossed (null-modem) ethernet cable between the machines.

Not necessary these days.
The network cards (and routers/switches) (if not too old/cheap) has it built in, and works both with crossed and straight TP-cables.

The link you gave seems good enough, so let's hope he gets the ICS going.

And I don't know how to ping a PC to the Amiga,sight...

Ping xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

x= the ip-adress

Start-> Run cmd
The write ipconfig in the shell to get the ip of the pc.

Then run "ping ip-of-your-pc" from a shell in OS4.

(The one starting with 192.168)

A few people have told me that you don't need a crossover cable these days. In my experience of workin with recent Dell servers and System P P5 servers, I've always had to resort to using a crossover cable.

@tomazkid

I am very happy and proud to say that my Amiga One is finally again connected to the internet thanks to my laptop's connection!!!

I am now surfing with Ibrowse that's a fact!!!

And with the machine it should be on a page like this.

Well I ran the Internet wizard,selected a modem type connection,then go to the internet prefs icon,open it and introduced the IP borrowed from the PC and at first it didn't work but when I enabled DHCP it finally works!!!

Thanks to you for your support and for making me more happy again!!

The only issue I see is that the connection lasts until 31-3-2009 and then renew it and that the domain is MS (Microsoft I think?).
Anyway when this connection will expire I think it will renew it automatically.

Amiga makes it possible!!!

Off Topic: What happens with the smilies on Ibrowse that I cannot put any of them behind these lines? How can I configure this?

I have to work on a different e-mail account for my YAM and to make a distinct touch between my Amiga One and the PC.
