I could not contain myself any longer, I fixed my OWB DNS settings problem and had to do a new movie to show ICAROS. The problem was just a few second delay in searching for sites.

Because it was about 15 minutes I had to split over two movie files so please play in order and in HQ if you can.

Part one is about Icaros new software and part two is about Janus-UAE under Aros.

Hope you all like it in my usual unprofessional manner

ICAROS on iMica part one

ICAROS on iMica part two

@clusteruk

so i'm assuming here that an icaros `lite' version would be called kid icaros?

@clusteruk

OWB seems to work blazingly fast compared to running IcAROS in VMware! I might just get a rig to install it natively. Thanks a lot for the demonstration, haven't bothered setting up Janus-UAE yet but I sure will now. It is amazing to see how much AROS has matured in just the last few months.

I agree with you, the sectarian stuff going on in the Amiga community is just ridiculous. I hope something good will come out of your 25th year anniversary effort. I believe in open source and AROS is the brightest star on the Amiga sky right now.

@ClusterUK: Good job, Steven, as always... Interesting to see Janus-UAE in action. I haven't checked out that part of AROS yet, since I don't own any old Amiga software anyway, but nice to see it's improving all the way as is the rest of AROS.

@steril606

Old Amiga software is a problem, however there is a site that has every single Amiga application ever written in downloadable .adf format. I am wrestling at the moment whether to name it on my site because although it is copyright software, most are out of business and no longer sold. However some are still selling.

@All

Yes x86 Amiga finally maturing.
AROS Live and VM packages are great! Running AmiKit and WHDLoad on the AROS UAE could be the nice bridge between all the classic software and the new software with plenty of CPU power to spare!

The community should obviously be producing more rounded packages like AROS and AmiKit where a lot of the setup work has already been done for the Amiga user and everything works out of the box.

People dabble a bit more! Why, because these days its not a waste of time!

OK, this would be killer, and I can't see why it wouldn't work using AmiBridge.
