Reminds me that I accidentally made icons bigger on OSX and I find no way to make them small. (I know I would find instructions somewhere, but doing that kind of things should be easier)

Anyway, I'll repairt it by installing MOS & getting rid of OSX (forever).

@samo79

That's a welcomed feature. I still find the new icons in the next OS4 update to be too big, at least this way it will be possible to make them smaller. I wonder how good they will look like when scaled down.

@Varthall

It will look better than, having to scale the Icons up to same size.

@samo79

Very cool!

I've been following the news updates about the OS 4.1.1 update, and there's a
lot of nice little features coming in it. And this is another one! Great work, Hyperion! :)

Kotler

Looking very nice and indeed a usefull feature!

The icons are very nice thsi time! Maybe they should be present in a very high resolution (512x512 pixel for example) so in the case of upscaling it, they don´t get too blurry.

Nice !
But as i see on screen shot some bugs related to scaling are here ? (left/bottom area with little "white cube" and on the right menu some "white line" under one of icon).

@kas1e

the "white cube" is an empty dock and the "white line" is a separator line I put on the dock (the column on the right is a dock with transparent background).

So, to answer your question: no, they aren't bugs.

Bye

@samo79

Well, it will only show it's full value when support for SVG is available and when all icons
in the system and from 3rd partys are in that format.

This is all posible with Cairo and added svg support there... but i don't know how it will be implemented in workbech but i know that you can add support for svg to Cairo...

@samo79/Lecta

Quite interesting feature indeed !!! Congratulations!

I didn't heard of such a feature before, it was inspired on some other system or we can claim is an original AmigaOS idea?

btw, does not really matter.. but it would be great a video rather than an image to show such feature ;)

@Varthall
Big? You should consider buying a new monitor ^___^

On 1600x1050 they look quite small (so enlarging them is the operation you'll want to do), at what res are you running WB?

Congratulations must go to Massimo Tantignone, he is the developer who made this possible.

I reckon he is also the Author of that beautiful unofficial theme we are seeing around, will it be included with in the new Update too?

@DAX

I run my Workbench at 1600x1200 and I like the size of the existing icons at that resolution - more space to see all your files without having to scroll around...

@Daedalus
As a matter of fact it is probably just me fancying big icons
No problems for anyone though, as they can be dynamically scaled down too

@Lecta

A little video to show us what's new comming in next update should be cool too. Specially about performance and enhancement of the OS.
Many of us didn't see it in action.

Petrol.

Edit: Ok, amiwest video shows all of this! Thanks. It's really pleasant to see updates coming.
