Nope, only happened after update 2, I assigned it to the blender directory last night in user-startup & it didn't show anymore, I'll change it to RAM:.

More responsive on SAM than on 2Ghz+ PC? Not too bad.

I'd keep PowerUP machines out then, the benchmark file might not even have enough memory to render on 128MB machines anyway. |
PowerUp supports motherboard ram on CSPPC (I don't know about ZorRAM) and supports 256MB on Blizzards._________________ The only spanish amiga news web page/club: CUAZ |

| For someone trying to find other blender results: http://amigaworld.net/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?mode=viewtopic&topic_id=35671&forum=34&start=160&viewmode=flat&order=0#665666
(OSX seems to run blender better/faster than linux...?) 186s blender 2.48a G5 tlosmGhz single core (OSX) 223s blender 2.49 G5 2.3Ghz single core (Linux, IIRC)
And Blender 2,58 seems to be 2x faster. Perhaps as fast as 2,62 ...
23s blender 2,58 G5 tlosmGhz QUADcore (OSX) 112s blender 2.62 PA6T 1.8Ghz Dualcore (LinuxMint) 113s blender 2.62 G4 1.8Ghz DualCPU !
UPDATE: tlosmGhz == 2,8Ghz ...3Ghz ? (signature hints 2,3Ghz but the performance indicates higher, ...another look ... 2,3Ghz is for the intel i7 and quad is then 2.5Ghz ... or perhaps overclocked to 2,7?) | Does any betatester have Cyrus+ yet?
Update: -some betatesters have Cyrus+/X5000 -for example amigakit has posted some 3D results but not yet blender results. -to my understanding X5000 already runs Linux, AmigaOS4 and MorphOS
((I understand that speed hindering bugs / HAL issues need to be solved before releasing results, to get good PR effect. For example AROS ran slowly on quad core Rasberry Pi2B, untill they managed to control cores 1,2 and 3, so that they do not run in wrong mode, other cores disturbing core 0.)) on my X1000, Radeon HD7950, latest Warp3D, Amiga OS4.1FE I get 7:08.90
Blender v2.48a- Amiga OS4.1 port by Andy (broadblues)
be interesting to see some A1222, X5000 results _________________ ____________________________ c64-2sids, A1000, A1200T-060@50(finally working!),A4000-CSMKIII ! My Master Miggies- Amiga 1000 & AmigaOne X1000 ! mancave-ramblings X1000 I BELIEVE |

Core i52500K 3.3 GHz, WinUAE 3.2.0 Beta 16 64 bit / OS41FE (probably with debug kernel):
(test.blend): 01:08:38.62
Quite an achievement to get such result with 128 MB RAM and not reliable SWAP... I really hope FPU emulation on Tabor will be faster. |
