| The naming of the Commodore "Fantasy" concept keyboard is not set in stone at all. (see www.commodoreusa.net)
If model numbers reminiscent of the C= classics are going to be used on future C= products do you think that the Fantasy concept keyboard should be called the C500 or the C1200?
Our current plan is for this keyboard to be the top of the line keyboard for the foreseeable future however we are considering an even bigger all-in-one keyboard at some stage, that probably won't be as reminiscent of the classic line-up.
What do you think?

Better numbers:
520 or 1040 or maybe even 464 ....... _________________ - We don't need good ideas, we haven't run out on bad ones yet - blame Canada |

Have you even gotten the permission from the original creator of that image to use it in advertising? It goes back over 10 years and is called "AMIGA Fantasy", not "Commodore Fantasy". |

We cannot find the designer Marko Hirv. His e-mail is bouncing and the Project Reality people don't have his contact details either. So, if someone can find him it would be very much appreciated. Last edited by BigBentheAussie on 15-Aug-2010 at 10:06 AM.

Hm, I don't know.... I gues you could call it C500 or C1200 but then, for this to have any deeper meaning, you'd have to sell it with some kind of Amiga(oid) OS on it
BTW, what does C in C500 means? To me it would be better if it was just Commodore 500 or Commodore 1200. _________________ The shadow is cast on who you used to be, Let me set you free. Come now, come take my hand, then you'll understand, We'll go to that forbidden land. |

Yep, great trick to get retro folks to just buy a PC and be happy.
Do the imaginary monkeys flying out of my bum look more like Nim Chimpsky or Bubbles? |

Nothing wrong with that, I'd love a nicely designed Commodore case. I'll dual boot AROS and Ubuntu and have my cake and eat it too...
If you think it's a "trick", then don't buy it. Simple as that. _________________ The shadow is cast on who you used to be, Let me set you free. Come now, come take my hand, then you'll understand, We'll go to that forbidden land. |

Thought as much. Also, nice job cropping away the creators information from the picture. Shows respect and gives the guy credit, and all that. I hope you make a lot of money ripping off other peoples work. |

This whole endeavour stinks of vapour and opportunism. Your "products" are all rehashes of images scattered across the web.
You expect people to believe that you will produce the AMIGA fantasy case between now and end 2010! Have you sat at looked at the costs of bespoke plastic cases? A new run of A1200 cases will start at £10-15,000 for the tooling alone.
My suspicion is that you are simply squatting on a domain name and using the community interest to drive site visits.

Ah but they are actually trying to get in contact the Marko, if you really read what he's written elsewhere that's what they're trying to do, they even asked you or anyone who might know him to help.
@ddni
You're right about the costs of making tools for such things, it's not cheap. But as I thought he said a year from now. If he already have a bunch of investors funding for making of the tools then he's already halfway. Getting the investors is the hardest part, and I have my doubts too I have to admit.
But again my hat off to him (them) for trying. If nothing materializes it didn't cost me a penny to watch the progress.

Any respectable company would get in contact with him first and use his work in marketing second, not the other way. |

I can agree I would have done in that order too, but if they find Marko they can always compensate him for the "wrong" they did with his work.
By judging the reaction of many people here they are now more likely find him or him to contact them than if they tried to find him behind the scenes. _________________ AmigaOS or MorphOS on x86 would sell orders of magnitude more than the current, hardware-intensive solutions.
