It's about 3-4 years old and there was also enlightenment working, but this stuff is definitely too crappy to deserve any kind of release.
Nice.
It is really shameful that text editors for MorphOS are "as good" as Write in Windows 3.1.
I would even pay for some MS Word compatible application supporting footnotes.
I fear only useable solution for MorphOS is MSWord in DosBox (Windows 3.1/95). Do you think it is better than AmiCygnix?
If you need a good MS word footnote comapbility I suggest to use MSO anyway. I need high compability to MS word and I tried long to do that with alternate products, but eventually came to the point where I decided that it is the best way to just use MSO. Even different MSO versions may cause enough trouble. So for me it is either I need a basic MSO compability only, then google docs or OOo is enough, or I need maximum interoperabilty/compability then I use MSO anyway. Luckily I need that interoperability for MS word only. Spreadsheets I do rarely and then use either Turbocalc or MS Exel, presentations I do either with Hollywood or OOo Impress and avoid MS Powerpoint (use that to watch presentations in .ppt format given to me).
