It is really shameful that text editors for MorphOS are "as good" as Write in Windows 3.1.

I would even pay for some MS Word compatible application supporting footnotes.


I fear only useable solution for MorphOS is MSWord in DosBox (Windows 3.1/95). Do you think it is better than AmiCygnix?


If you need a good MS word footnote comapbility I suggest to use MSO anyway. I need high compability to MS word and I tried long to do that with alternate products, but eventually came to the point where I decided that it is the best way to just use MSO. Even different MSO versions may cause enough trouble.
So for me it is either I need a basic MSO compability only, then google docs or OOo is enough, or I need maximum interoperabilty/compability then I use MSO anyway. Luckily I need that interoperability for MS word only. Spreadsheets I do rarely and then use either Turbocalc or MS Exel, presentations I do either with Hollywood or OOo Impress and avoid MS Powerpoint (use that to watch presentations in .ppt format given to me).
