Yes, it is working perfectly in my 460ex Lite and have a great and clear sound! Thanks must go to Davy Wentzler for the Envy24HT Driver!

Here is the proof:

You don't need to install the driver, because the driver it is part of AmigaOS.
Don't forget to pull Jumper J16 and configure Uboot to use PCI 1x.

After that you have to assign Envy24HT to Unit 0 in AHI-Prefs.

Thanks, now we are glad to have some use for x1 port

However, seems its quite expensive sound card I ve seen just higher prices then this one

Also before buy would be interested to know how much better sound is from e.g. EMU101 card like Sound Blaster Live

Good to hear its working :) I have the normal card on x1000 and used it on A1G4XE for many years. Its s good card.

I own a Soundblaster Live! long time before on PC but this card seems to beat it in terms of flexibility (balanced/unbalanced output/input) and sound-quality. But that is what you can expect from such a expensice card.

Congratulation very nice card, i'm glad it can work well in our Sam460, but if i remember well when you use pcix1 the onboard sata2 doesn't work anymore, it's true we don't have the dma driver yet but in future....

pls add localization in Flipclock, thanks

True you'd loose the onboard SATA. But:

Nice Radeon HD card -> PCIe big slot
Sil 3114 SATA card (with nice DMA) -> PCI slot
Decent sound card -> PCIe small slot

So it's a nice system and bypasses any problems with the onboard sound. All slots are used though.

My system is:

Nice Radeon HD card -> PCIe big slot
EMU10K soundcard -> PCI slot
Empty (and has to be) -> PCIe small slot

With the SATA on board connected to the singular HDD. So no DMA, but this doesn't much seem to matter - 8MB/s seems to be enough for AmigaOS. I'm happy, and have decent sound after 6 moths of struggling. And the EMU10K was a castoff, so free too. :)

It's good news that there are options for decent sound on the SAM460....

The SAM460ex offers enough combinations. Normally Onboard-Soundchips even on PC are known to be not "hi quality". The onboard-Soundchip of the SAM440-Series is very good, its a pity that the architecture of the 460 can't use it easily.
